I was kinda dissappointed about the Didact.

I was actually thinking I was going to have to face him and defeat him in a firefight, you know, by using cunning against him. Kinda like a boss fight. Halo’s only boss fight was with Tarturus in Halo 2… It should have been like an epic battle for the fate of mankind or atleast a slayer match between the two with high stakes.

I was kinda disappointed to he should have been given a bigger appearance also I was disappointed when I seen what he looked like.

A straight up fight wouldn’t work, 343i decided to make him too powerful with his Force choking to the point Chief could never face him. 343i built him up as this great adversary, but he wasn’t.

I hated the Tarturus fight, especially on Legendary. We’re still not done with the Didact. So maybe a battle in Halo 5?

They’re probably just saving him as the final boss of the Reclaimer trilogy. Then again, didn’t Gravemind show up in Halo 2?

Gravemind was also a hugh let down in Halo 3.

My grandmother scares me more than the Didact did .

The didact is too strong for that…

Disappointment?

Your words are too kind.

The only problem is that the Didact could easily wipe the floor with every Spartan II simultaneously.

We’ll hopefully get a proper boss fight with him in a future Halo as Halo 4 is only the first chapter. And you rarely kill off the main antagonist in the first chapter of book, right?

The Didact shouldn’t really be the main antagonist anyway.

I was more disapointed in him because he wasn’t really a good villain in comparison to the prophets. The prophets wanted to wipe out humanity in order to ensure that they remain top dog in the covenant (makes sense). The didact just wanted childish revenge for past grievances 100000 years ago.

I’m disappointed with how Forerunners were shown overall.

Try Harry Potter

To be honest, he wasn’t even a very good antagonist. We only saw him in two cutscenes and we got to “kill” him in a quick time event (which was horrible, it should have been a normal cutscene). Jul is so much cooler than the Didact.

Theres gonna be more than one game in the new trilogy… we won’t get to rip his face off of him till halo 6.

BRING THE FLOOD BACK!

I seem to be the only person that liked the Didact and enjoyed the quicktime event at the end.

I’m more disappointed about how Chief just runs past the Knights on Requiem.

IIRC, there was a tweet from a developer saying there’d be a boss battle on the second level. I’m guessing that was scrapped. I’d have liked to fight a bunch of unique Knights.

Also, I don’t mind the QTE but I think we should have fought something other than the Didact, like a Knight General or an oversized Brute Chieftain…
