I was just banned for 8 HOURS!! I was unactive in a warzone assault game and it said I “quit to many arena matches”. How in the H*** CAN I BE BANNED FROM ARENA FOR BEING AFK FROM WARZONE!! Please help 343

Ban rules clearly state NO AFK. Being kicked also counts as a quit so your ban is fair.

You DNF’d half your recent matches; stop quitting, and stop going AFK during matches. As well, there’s a ban delay, and your’re typically not registered as a quit to the servers until several days later, and then when the game registers another quit, it piles them all up, stacks the ban times, and hits you all at once.

The ban system generally tracks a few games behind. So you getting banned while AFK in Warzone was likely due to quitting/AFKing in earlier matches. However, AFKing in that Warzone match could end up extending your ban duration or adding a new one right after. Lesson: don’t AFK or quit. Ever.

Hi OP, we have a ban thread in the Halo 5 forums for assistance with matchmaking bans. Please have a read over the first post and make a reply there if you still need help. As mentioned above though, you have a lot of DNF matches in your game history which have likely contributed to your ban
