but I couldn’t tear myself away from the CE campaign. I have played through the CE campaign a couple times in the past year, so it was still somewhat fresh, and I’m totally impressed with how everything looks. Mostly, though, I’m impressed with how true to the original the game is. I’m actually playing CE, not a remake.
-the grunts have no range with their plasma grenades
-the battle rifle sounds like a total beast
-needler sucks at melee, but the animation looks pretty cool
-I never know where I am on the Pillar of Autumn
-the checkpoints can be unforgiving
-Legendary solo makes me want to throw my controller
-the lost cat who answers to Jonesy has been found (anybody else figure out what the other stuff means?)
All these and more are exactly how the original plays. Thanks to Bungie for making such a great game, and thanks 343i for giving it a refresh that held true to the original.
There is no BR…
But I get what you’re saying. Sabre did a pretty damn good job on this. It’s just too bad 343 didn’t have more involvement, I mean, we still don’t know what they’re capable of leading into Halo 4.

This, I was wondering where he got the ‘Battle rifle is beast’ part from.
Ha ha… the new name for the AR is “The Shredder!” It’s just as much fun as the Magnum imo
