I was banned for no reason...

Last night I was playing Halo 4 matchmaking by myself. I left my mic plugged in but I wasn’t using it and I thought I had it turned off. I left it plugged in so I didn’t have to listen to the rest of my team or lobby talking. However, during one of the games, a menu popped up and said I had been banned for a week. I guess there was some pretty bad feedback coming through other players speakers, but I had no idea.

Anybody had this issue? Can anyone confirm if this affects party chat when I play Halo 4?

Did you stay in the game while you were gone?

I was playing the entire time, I just had my mic plugged in so I didn’t have to listen to anyone else chatting. I realize I can mute other players through the audio settings, but it was easier to just leave it plugged in.

I’ll clarify a bit – it said I had been banned from Halo voice chat for a week. I can still play online.

I’m just curious if this goes for party chat as well?
