I have wanted to make some sort of short story for Halo, or anything else involving a video game, for a while. I already wrote a short piece of fanfiction for the game The Last of Us and really enjoyed it. Id like to practice my writing skills (Im in the process of changing majors in college from Computer Science to something else, or even Writing for video games) by creating short stories off of prompts given to me by the Community.
Gimmie some examples so I can start writing :D:
-something to do with civilians and their views on ONI and Spartans within their own lives
-Spartans fighting a make believe battle in the Halo universe
-Spartans going behind enemy lines
-civilians fighting off the Covenant on their own (I think that would be a neat one, seeing as that area hasnt been explored much in deep detail in the books. Correct me if I am wrong.)
I dont want to pull a Greg Bear and write something from the Hard Sci Fi genre…thats far outside my skill level. Just something simple to begin with. I already started to get an idea involving the first prompt above, but I could use more ideas…maybe just a few even simpler ones that you guys can give me. Thanks!
