Level 8 for me, the only one I have is the one with the bayonet 
really not worth it.
silenced dmr is availaable at req lv 7
Pretty sure the DMR is a straight upgrade to both the BR and the Magnum. And if you somehow can’t completely melt people with the AR in CQC, that’s your own fault because it is also statistically superior.

Magnum and BR -Yoink- on DMR in close range. DMR is god at long range
I use so many weapons in Halo 5 other than the BR. SMG, Carbine, Storm Rifle, Hydra, Needler… All completely viable weapons!
My typical combo in Warzone is a Longshot BR and Whiplash, mainly as I am not fortunate to have unlocked a DMR.
I understand OP, the BR is required in warzone for the first bit of each match once you leave a base. Pretty much forced to use it until you get some req points built up. Big team battle is a BR mini sniper fest. I know the BR=Halo but to me it has become a chore to use. I’m just bored with it. Arena is fun with the magnum though. Just personal preference.

Couldn’t agree more about btb. Nothings sucks the fun more outta btb than half the enemy team camped in their spawn spamming br across the map. Doesn’t happen too often but when it does it sucks.

People who understand 
I don’t play Warzone but in Arena almost everything is useful to me. Only weapons I haven’t learned how to use effectively are the Plasma Caster, Plasma Pistol, Boltshot…and sniper rifle. I don’t think I’ve even tried the Plasma Pistol yet.

Warzone is nothing but BR’s, you’re not missing much

This is what Halo players want, the easy BR
If the pistol is so OP as some threads claim…why are people using the BR?

Oh my gosh even breakout, when it gets down to a duel, or 1on2 and they just camp in their spawn with a BR. I want to cry.

Because it’s easier to use lol longer range,more bullet magnetism, shoots 3 bullets so its really easy and forgiving
