Not to hate them. I love the whole idea that Spartans give hope and that was their morale booster in the whole war, and something Spartans IVs can portray too.
So hearing there is an elite Spartan killing team and spartan killers, I really want to see the Banish portray what their trailers tell us “a tomb where hope dies”.
I hope we do see other spartans in the ring map, but I also hope to see Spartans IVs or in general, die in the game. In a very atmospheric way that makes you feel awful and sympathetic.
Same, I’ve never really 100% fully liked spartan IVs. The beginning of spartan ops really defined them for me (NOT in a good way). But, I think you will see some spartan IVs deaths, since halo infinite has "Spartan Killers." AND not to give any spoilers , but if you do your research on halo mega blocks for infinite, you may find a certain spartan IV helmet.

I don’t want us to see just helmets around or them on the floor, I want to legit see them get emailed by an energy sword through a cutscene. Like actually feeling your hope is dying.

Thise are marines. We havent seen a Spartan die. Not have we ever in Halo 4 and onward especially a Spartan IV.

Honestly 0/10 that 343 doesn’t call them “Demonslayers”.
I wanna see a few die too, but it can’t be some nameless randos. Either have it be an established character like Osiris (pls not Buck tho ._. ). Just do what Reach and create some new characters, show they have a heart (Jorge), then blow them up.
I would happily watch sarah palmer be killed again and again and again…and again

“Demon” was a term the Covenant used for the Spartans. The Banished don’t believe in that sort of thing.
Yeah I wanna see the Banished be a really imposing enemy that brutally kills your allies. Would love to see decapitations, limbs removed etc.
Unfortunately I don’t feel like the game will be that violent.

Every time I read a comment like this, I only think about the silly and unreasonable reasons for hatred that character has, and how most of the time with that hatred it ends up bordering on misogyny towards Palmer.

Lol agreed. I’d like to see more assertion of S2s strength over 4s. Like S4s getting their -Yoinks!- handed to them but chief rescues them.

The banished aren’t a religious organization.
Uhh, why? Sometimes I feel like people just want certain characters dead because they don’t like them, not because the story requires it. Killing a character is not something done at random and 343 proved time and time they are not very good at dealing with character’s fates, so let’s be careful with what we wish.
Plus, Halo Infinite is far from feeling like a mature, difficult, hopeless challenge, but rather a walk in the park with Chief flying around blowing up enemies at ease and cracking jokes with The Weapon.

The point of the Banished in this game i guess is to destroy hope of the UNSC. They see nothing special in the Spartans. Dead nameless Spartans around can give a meaning or symbolism that they finally aren’t the demons the covenant feared; breaking their hope.
I don’t know where you got this “Halo is a rainbow arcade game” summary. But the Spartan killers wouldn’t make sense if we don’t see them actually kill a spartan.
