Yeah, yeah, I know; “Commander Palmer is a -Yoink-”, and all that crap…
Me? I think she was pretty awesome in the cutscenes in Spartan Ops, with her Scout armor and dual Magnums… I think it would be fun to play as her in some missions for Halo; either alternating between her and the Master Chief every other couple of missions (Halo 2 style) or as a co-op character (Halo 3 style) alongside the Arbiter and perhaps our old friend the Ship Master; a.k.a “Half Jaw”.
In addition, I think we should be able to play as our favorite characters in Firefight, assuming Firefight returns; give players the option of either playing as their custom Spartan/Elite, or as one of our favorite characters from the Halo storyline… like Master Chief, Commander Palmer, The Arbiter, Carter, Jorge, Emile; Linda, Kelly, Fred; you get the idea. It would be better than simply choosing a Firefight voice and trying to replicate that character’s armor the best you can.
I see where you’re coming from, but I would only want her playable if it was optional to play as her for all players. Forcing Palmer haters (which there are a lot of) to play as Palmer is just going to be responded to negatively.
I would like a Thorn game too. In Spartan ops I wanted a little more from him but nothing that another game with him in it cant fix. I want to see more of his connection with new phoenix. That scene to me was he’s best scene in Spartan ops, that and him fighting that elite.

I forgot about that; yes, I think players should be able to choose what character they play as in co-op; unlike in Halo 3, where you were pretty much stuck playing as whatever character the game chose for you.
Absolutely. It’d help her character massively, as people very rarely hate the character they play as, even in the worst of games. I also think blank slate characters are a gimmick that have overstayed their welcome.
