I’ve always been a fan of the Halo games, but I’ve only played them for the gameplay. However, I want to know about the Halo Universe and all of its lore.
What do I need to read/watch to know and understand all of Halo’s lore, from the beginning?

Well read the books. I’d start with the Nylund trilogy:Fall of Reach,First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx. Then from theere whatever interests you the mos, if you’re interested in the Insurrectionist read Cole Protocol or if you’re interested in Johnson and how the war started Contact Harvest. If you’re interested in the Forerunners then read the Forerunner trilogy.Though the books I’m about to mention are definitely my least favorite but the Kilo 5 trilogy which fills the gap between 3 and 4. Then there’s Evolutions which is a collection of short stories and peoms about the universe.

i agree with you about not liking kile tril ogy it just seems like alot of wasted potential
