i want to improve and have reliable teammates

I’m relatively new to Halo, having only played it for a couple of months. I’m a quick learner, though, and I’m getting better fast. I have completed Reach’s entire campaign on Legendary, and I have played through CEA’s campaign (although I don’t think I’ll bother doing the whole thing on Legendary). I play the social playlists better than most of the other random Joes I get matched up with on any given day, and I just ranked up to Colonel. I earned rank by doing the daily challenges for the past couple weeks.

But I am a newbie when it comes to Slayer, Swat, Sniper, and the other competitive playlists. Frankly, I get my -Yoink- kicked. I’d REALLY like to improve, but it is hard when you’re matched up with a bunch of random kids each game – half of whom don’t have any sense of strategy at all, and half of whom are just there to “run and gun” and betray their own team members when they get bored.

So, here’s what I’d like to find:

I’d like to join a group where I can learn how to play the more competitive playlists well. I’d like to learn strategy and teamwork from people who know what they’re doing and are willing to teach me. I can practice with a team frequently, but it would have to be in the evenings between 7-11 pm (Mountain Time, US) and weekends.

Why would anyone want me? Here is what I bring to the table:

I’m new to Halo, yes, but I’m getting better fast. I’m motivated and (to make a little public confession) I tend to get obsessed with things and work really hard at them. I’m also a REAL team player. I enjoy comaraderie. I don’t get frustrated easily. Most people find me easy to get along with. I have no problem teaming up with people of any age.

For the time being I have a wireless internet connection that is quite good, and within the next month we’re going to get the XBOX connected directly to the cable, so the internet connection should be EXCELLENT.

I am also investing in a set of really nice headphones like pro gamers use, because I’ve heard that they improve your play.

So, there it is. That’s what I’m looking for. I’m hoping to find a community of people I can team up with in the evenings and go out and kick some serious -Yoink-, rather than just dinking around with random whoevers.

Anyone want a new member? If so, please tell me a little bit about your team, clan, organization and we’ll see if we’re a match.

I. Basics

Introduction: Hello I am Private Affliction of Alpha Company, Zulu Platoon in the Dropshock Brigade, I’d like to offer you a chance to be in one of the most mature, active and structured Halo Reach clans around. Currently we have more than 50 members from six different countries. Our clan is filled with great members who like to have fun and be competitive. If this clan interests you, please read on:

II. What We Have To Offer

Gaming- Our clan has plenty of clan matches against other clans. We do plenty of matchmaking amongst ourselves, and also have practices throughout the week to improve our gameplay. In these practices, we not only learn new strategies but also improve friendships amongst ourselves.

Professionalism- Our clan acts as respectful and professional as possible at all times. But, not only is our behavior professional, so is our website. Our website was created by scratch from our founder, Vitamin, and he has maintained it ever since. Just glancing at our website will show you just how serious we are, and will accurately express how we handle the clan.

Community- We have members from all over the globe and there will always be someone online. Our members are the reason the Brigade is special. Each of their individual efforts and personalities contribute to the Brigade’s success for the past two years. We have a forum on our website where you can communicate with other personnel off xbox live.

Promotions- Promotions aren’t easy to come by in the Brigade. If you want one, you need to work for it. Throughout your time in the Brigade, you will learn what it truly means to be a leader. You may think that it is just for gaming, but it teaches you lessons in life for the future.

III. Becoming a member

Enlisting: To get into the brigade, you must first register on our website and fill out the Enlistment Form. Make sure to fill everything out and read the page following the form.
This is where you begin your enlistment process which is kind of like a screening where you have to prove to us that you want to be in the clan. After you fill out the enlistment form, you need to stay active on both our website and on xbox live. During this time, you will have to obtain a sponsor, which is someone who looks after you and assists you with any problems or concerns you may have. If you have a sponsor and you have been a Recruit for at least a week, you will be eligible for bootcamp where we test you on your communication skills in the game. Finally, you take an exam that tests you on your knowledge of the Brigade.
