So About the perks, loadouts and how the armor affects everything you do. I am honestly a little worried. Could you guys tell me what you think about it?
I don’t like the idea of perks, but if 343 found a way to make it good it would be ok
Well its in a Halo game so it is going to be good…

You’re asking for opinions on something we have no facts on. How can we possibly form opinions when we don’t know anything about the subject?
Well, seeing everything to this point is just speculation, can’t really give an opinion.
In my speculative theory, I think perks are going to be similar to power ups found in the metroid prime series. Just simple things like maybe a couple of extra clips of ammo. an extra grenade. Maybe sprint will last a 2-3 second longer. Nothing to dramatic.
Now, according to the interview on eurogamer, the armor is also suppose to affect the gameplay. I am guessing it will be similiar to something like heavy class, medium class, light class?
Heavy - slower but can take more damage, less stamina for sprinting, can’t jump as high.
Medium - balance of health and speed. Not as accurate with power weapons as the heavy dude. can use/move with dismounted weapons, but would be slower with them then the heavy.
Light - fast and agile but low health. Longer stamina highest jump ability. Carry least amount of ammo. Maybe not as accurate with power weapons? or can’t take mounted weapons off the mount?
Now this is where you tie in the “perks” to the armor. The heavy guy my prefer to sacrifice more ammo for maybe a little extra stamina/ agility?
Medium guy might go for some extra ammo/nades
and the light will sacrifice stamina for maybe a little extra armor or ammo?
Then tie all that in to the idea that you can’t use the “perks” straight off the back. You have build up a certain amount of points and “purchase” your perk that you have you in your load out to actually use it.
I am wanting to know what other people think. I know basically no one knows anything yet but everyone has thoughts on something.

I wouldn’t even buy Halo 4 if it had perks like this. Pure rubbish (no offense to you though).
I feel like armor perks, sprint, custom loadouts, and a progression system has no place in a Sandbox FPS and will completely kill the balance of Halo and the competitive nature of the game. I hope im wrong…but custom loadouts/armor perks in Halo is like sacrilege to me I dont think they understand what makes the multiplayer great.
Im not entirely sure on wether to call the abilities in Halo 4 perks or not, but to me, its rather on how a super soldier is naturaly suppose to do.Spartans are suppose to be extremly strong, really fast on their feet, and be battle born soldiers. Pretty much the perfect warriors. Now the question is…how to add those kinds of feelings correctly into the game though…
Not even worried in the slightest.
343 will give us an option to play the “Classic” Halo way, so I say bring on all the changes. Could be a helluva time!
I feel like 343 wont fail us but I feel like they want more story behind a Spartan as if as we were they ones witch I like. I am just super worried about the custom loadouts and perks. And the idea said earlier about longer spring I feel like would work.
Perks are bad.
Loadouts are bad.
Sprint is bad.
I think it’s natural to be worried, but I’m excited to find out more.
I am being open minded.

This is everything I fear for Halo 4 in all honesty.
In Reach it was terrible…
