but it is not in the store
I’m beginning to find the whole idea of pre-ordering in general to be a really strange thing in today’s market. It used to be that you pre-ordered highly anticipated games because the physical copies of them would sell out of stores on day one, and if you didn’t have one reserved for you specifically you might have to run all over town to find a copy, or potentially even have to wait for the stores within a reasonable distance of you to restock their shelves. That was fine, and it made sense. Back then grabbing a pre-order ASAP was very smart because even pre-orders sold out for the most popular titles.
That was in the 00’s and earlier in this decade, though. In the past four or five years, with digital games becoming so prominent, even highly demanded titles don’t typically sell out of all retail stores (I’ve worked at GameStop and Best Buy over some of the major game launches of the past three years, and we’ve almost never depleted our stock of physical copies).
I can understand wanting to make sure you get a physical copy day one, but I wouldn’t be too concerned about it unless you are after a limited or legendary edition of the game (neither of which have been announced st this time, to the best of my knowledge). Stores just don’t sell out of them they way they used to, and in the gaming retail business as I’ve worked in it, typically locations are supplied with the amount of copies pre-ordered plus several more (10-15 at a small-ish GameStop and 20-25 at a big-box Best Buy) to make sure demand on day one is met.
Again, if you want the standard edition on physical. I’m waiting until we hear about anything Limited or Legendary or possibly a Scarlett limited edition console before I pre-order anything; those are the types of items anymore that are subjected to artificial scarcity on the part of the publishers and manufacturers to drum up hype and demand.
Well if you want to pre-order it you might have to deal with bugs and unfinished content/
And, jesus Superman Kenobi you didn’t need to write a novel on SEVEN WORDS.
it’s because the game’s still 1 and a half year away dude, calm your M6D’s.
I’d suggest pre ordering any AAA titles in the modern gaming environment is a fools errand
One only needs to look around for many examples of why a wait and see approach is much more prudent.

You won’t find it in any store until it’s almost at release of has been released, that’s not going to be until Holiday season next year
