I want it to be easier to build bonds with other players

Hello! I want to say, first and foremost, I love halo. Ive been playing since the start, and all of my nostalgic, best halo memories involve the players I met and the sense of community that was baked into the games.

I feel like this focus has taken a backseat over the last few years. I do realize that times have changed, the landscape of online multiplayer has changed… Things like proximity chat have gone away for many games… But these community features that were what always made halo special.

I would love to see you guys steer your direction of the franchise back toward features like pregame and post game lobbies. Allow a group of players to move from game to game, and to banter between matches. Allow us to stick with a squad, and to have great and easy ways to matchmake on community made maps and modes, with progression tracks and ways to show those off. Things like 1000 lifetime sticks earning you a special coating or banner.

I miss the community that this franchise used to foster, I feel like walls have been built that prevent us from connecting and building relationships.

Thank you!

It’s honestly a shame they cut that out of halo. It’s the reason I always went back to halo 3 and reach up until they shut it down. Mcc is cool but it’s just not the same.

It’s definitely something I hope they look at in the future. The game is capable of self sustaining with the proper community and feature set. 343 just needs to lay the foundation

Oh boy I would pay them another 60 dollars personally for post game and pre game lobby’s. Why have they decided not to do it. Wtf are they busy doing or thinking about.

I don’t get it either man. It’s a great place to show off armour too. It supports monetization and I do want the game to make money so that it gets supported.

Yes its crazy they managed to take away some of the core of Halo. When players were complaining this game feels too isolated to play, we get a season themed around playing alone and solo… how insulting.

I completely agree with this motion. I’ve been using LFGs to get communicative teammates to great personal success, but playing completely alone sucks the fun out of the game.

When there’s no banter, no jokes, no laughing in my lobbies? I get tilted that much faster and it blows.

This is the first multiplayer for Halo I’ve really gotten to play, and I’ve made a lot of friends playing it, but it does feel disconnected. I hate having a lovely chat with someone in match only to be torn away when the screen changes and we have to do all this extra work to friend or chat over XBL.

I mean yeah some people can be yoinks online but I’ve met far more cool people in game that I’d love to keep playing with. I really hope they implement something to adjust this. It’s very ‘individual’ focused and as a team-based multiplayer game (as halo multiplayer always has been) I don’t think that’s the correct direction for them to focus in.

I’m also a little disappointed that this season is so free-for-all focused because I was so excited to try things out with my friends :’) We’re just in voice chat joking around while we all play separate ffa matches…

I’ve voiced my concerns on this as well. Even a global chat would be welcomed (global chat has been very useful for pc players on shooter games) even if it’s to say “GG” or “good play” when someone kills you. The fact that you can even global chat with everyone on a game mode like free for all is saddening. Yes there are jerks online but this game is VERY RESTRICTIVE when it comes to communication. I hope one day in the future they add at least global chat or some free for all voice. Not everyone has bad intent.

Lobbies used to be great.

FEATURE REQUEST: I wish they would keep teams together after the match ends on Team Slayer. I can’t tell you how many great online friendships i have developed from this

It would be easy to at least have the option of hanging around in the post game lobby.

And following on from that an easy way to invite people to your fireteam.

Plus, while we are at. I miss clans.
