I thought that free DLC was good, but…only one map for each DLC is not good…in memories of reach I expected a remake of countodwn or sword base for example…
it’s not good also the “alter ego” policy: Eden-Empire, Truth-Regret, Torque-Stasis…please stop…
I Would Buy DLC with 4 new maps… i would buy also a DLC with old classics maps like as Sanctuary, Ivory Tower, Warlock, Lockout, adatped for the new gameplay…
If you introduce paid DLC, you have to decide how to do it? If it’s mandatory, then the community will go absolutely crazy. If it’s optional, then you fragment the community and will probably not play most of those new maps in matchmaking because not everyone will have them.
Also the standard first year DLC for a Halo game is 6 new maps. We already have 4 with more coming, the Remixes are just bonuses.
PS. DLC stands for downloadable content and so the plural is still DLC not DLCs.
PPS. 's is the possessive form and would imply that something belongs to the DLC, not that there are multiple lots of DLC.

Besides that, 343 has made a lot of money on the reqs, from a business standpoint they would never think of going back to paid dlc, just microtransactions.
Fyi, I don’t like the way microtransactions are being handled in halo 5.

Why? This is literally the best way they could’ve done them.

Off topic: what language do you speak?
On topic: it would be interesting to be able to pay for a dlc…as long as it had good maps in the dlc.

80,000 for a Mythic pack, or 9.99 in us dollars.
So play about 60 games of Warzone at about 15 to 20 minutes a game…
Or whip out the old credit card and let go of 10 hard earned dollars.
I don’t know about you, but I really don’t feel like grinding a game for hours on end just to get a lousy req pack…
And I really don’t feel like supporting the pro teams with my money, which is were a good deal of money from reqs goes.

$1.99 or 5,000 rp for silvers. $2.99 or 10,000 rp for gold. It doesn’t give anyone an advantage and everything bought can be earned in game. If you want to see bad microtransactions, look at Blops 3.
I don’t, halo reach and beyond all had paid dlc and after a few months you only got to play on those maps once in a blue moon, which just turned out to be a big waste of money. If I bought dlc, I expect to be able to actually play that dlc outside of the occasional custom game. If anything I’d rather see more forge content put into matchmaking, I’ve seen a lot of maps from this community that are miles better then the in-game maps.

Italian.
On topic: free DLC → only 3 arena maps in 1 year… i prefer more and better maps, paying it.
Only paid dlc id do for halo is actual dlc. Not a map pack (optional or not), not (Lord forbid) a season pass, and definitely not cosmetics (horse armor comes to mind)
Dlc as in more now a content such as more campaign.

Paying for it doesn’t guarantee it’ll be good, or that you’ll get more.

Microtransactions should only be in games that are free to play, that way someone who wants to support a dev can choose to if they wish.
If it were up to me, microtransactions in triple A titles should only be cosmetic things such as skins for armour and guns.
I’m fine with the concept of the req packs, but they make the money option seem much more appealing then grinding for hours.
You may like that grind, but I don’t. There are things on the earth I have to do, and reqs just take up to much time, and to add to that halo 5 has a bad habit of frustrating me, to which pve from the start would have fixed.
I wouldn’t pay for DLC. The free DLC/updates may not be the best, but they are free. Take a look at Star Wars Battlefront. It’s paid DLC gone crazy. They were selling the DLC while releasing a bare bones game.
The only time I recall buying a paid DLC map pack was for Halo 3 and to my knowledge, as has been said in this thread already I only was able to play those maps a handful of times. If it is paid DLC, I would expect to be able to play the maps that have been paid for more than just once in every 100 to 150 games…
