I want a mech!!!!

With the ViDoc last week revealing a Mech being built in the Warhouse map, the only thought that came to my head was “I better be able to ride that in campaign.” But with the last bulletin revealing that the mechs will in fact not be ridable in Campaign, I wonder now “WHY 343?! WHYYYY??!!!” riding a giant robot in the campaign would’ve topped anything Bungie ever did with the series. What’s an epic sci-fi story without giant robots? But now I must wonder, what are they gonna do with certain vehicles that dwarf said mech in Warhouse? I hope it’s a mech that transforms. THAT would certainly beat my original thoughts and be downright EPIC!!!

well just because it isnt playable in halo 4 doesnt mean it wont be playable in halo 5 or 6 i think theres a good reason they upgraded the cyclops. And you u said 343i has a vehicle that dwarfs the cyclops mk2

You realise the MJOLNIR armour is just a more advanced mech, right?

That would just… Im not going to even say anything.

> You realise the MJOLNIR armour is just a more advanced mech, right?

yes, but a cyclops would have more firepower and ammo

Please everypony! don’t argue.

Why do you care this much about vehicles?

Space battles in Reach were fun for… 2 minutes.

Even if there was no info for riding it, I already know that the robot would just be something to make the map beautiful.

But I must admit that it will be cool to be capable of riding it.

I felt the same way. Since seeing the mech in Halo: Legends I have wanted to pilot one. As a lifelong Gundam/Evangelion/Macross/Armored Core fan, piloting a mech in Halo would be about as good as it can get. Definitely disappointed by Frank confirming no cyclops, but Im interested to see what would dwarf a mech.

“The Cyclops 2 seen in the center of War House will not be playable. But we will have some vehicle surprises, at least one of which will dwarf that weapon.”

Which means we will be going to pilot something bigger…

The irony that I started rewatching every Gundam wing episode right before the trailer debuted.

Also space gameplay was lame thanks to the mission, if it were in an steroid field without over doing it, it would have been fine. An idea isn’t bad just because it is executed the wrong way.

And the Mjolnir might be a “mech” (aldo power armor might suit it better) but it lacks on board fire power or actually anything that makes me feel more powerfull then the aliens technology pas few games (only reason UNSC won is because spartans can respawn in campaign, only a few elites (3 to be exact) mastered this.).
Really, standard UNSC troops can easily keep up with a spartan.
Honestly I never feel any kind of power in Halo, only vulnerability …

Ahem, they’re “cyclopses”. Haha but I think a lot of games have done the mech riding thing recently, I’m still banking on a drive able scarab. And an elephant.

i thought flying the sabre in space was awesome

i just think the cyclops would look silly seeing it move around in these types of halo games, it looked fine in halo wars, but in halo 4 i think it would look silly and out of place seeing a big robot walking around, imo its not halos kind of thing to have or would it look cool.

The title immediately reminded me of little people at christmas time
