Why did I pay for the map pass if I Could save money by just waiting until they came out. Now people who did NOT buy the map pack can get it for free? So in total people who did not pay for the map pass only pay $20 for all 3 as where i have payed $25.

Really embarrassing for their first game tbh.
I bought the map pack this morning for 800 msp, waited for the damn thing to hit the Marketplace at 5am est…when I saw this I just opened a ticket at microsoft, they told me to call customer support this is what happened:
waited 15 min to get to an agent, gave them my details, told them my problem…
They then denied this had happened, saying only people with the pass were able to download it, so further I had asked to speak to a supervisor and they put me on hold for 35 min…
Once I talked to a representative, He had told me they weren’t aware of this glitch, so he had to look into it, putting me back on hold for 10 more min until I hung up.
I could see they were just giving me the run around, which is a load of bull when a paying customer is actually having a problem that cant be resolved? Mature Customer Support -Yoink!-…

yeh but map pass or LE owners should get extra DLC exclusives for there mess up. There is a reason i PAY for my stuff.

I wonder. How many people are going to freeload off of this “glitch”? Hundreds? Thousands? Everyone? While Xbox support is saying get it while you still can.
I’m really just wondering if 343/Microsoft are PURPOSELY doing horribly with this game to make an AMAZING comeback out of nowhere and satisfy a bunch of people at once.
Its just a glitch in the system…no one -Yoinked!- when the heroic map pack for halo 3 was free after a while due to low demand.

It’s Microsoft’s mistake. It ain’t as though they did it purposely.
Are you guys serious right now? I wanted to get it, but missed out. Even if I did buy a map pass, I wouldn’t be whining like some of you people.

I can’t believe that on that Twitter status they actually said what they did. I can’t belive they’re not even making an effort to help. This is just getting stupid now, they owe all of us people who payed for it and they know it.

hating on 343i? the pricing error has nothing to do with them, it’s all 100% Microsofts mistake.
Hating on 343i for it, will get you nowhere and is a bit pointless.
is it really a big deal? it’s almost guaranteed that sometime in the future they will be on a half price offer or even a free offer like most DLC’s, will you still complain then that people are getting it “cheaper”
Are you really that butthurt about $5? If 5 bucks is a lot of money to you you should reconsider your monetary priorities.
People are upset that they paid for something, that was in the end free.
glitch or not, it is still unfair on those that paid.
I don’t care if its 25 pence or 25 pounds, I paid for something that I didn’t have to.
I bet a lot of people saying “oh stop whining” are those that got it for free and didn’t pay.
Well guess what? Us that actually payed for it expect to receive it when they stated it would be released, and we paid for it early, so it was either out the way with, or for the 15% off!
I am a long time halo player. Iplayed over 16,000 games of halo 3. I beta tested halo reach with over 450 games just during the beta. I also payed for the map pass. 2000 ms points which was $25.00 I found out that the map was free and was very disappointed. The maps are also presented in a very poor 6 v 6 gametype which are full of ghosts and vehicles which makes what could be nice 4 v 4 maps without all the vehicles into BTB style crap.
If im being totally honest, Halo 4 has turned out to be somewhat dissapointing overall. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. 3 maps which came with the game have yet to be integrated into matchmaking. There is still no griffball. The call of duty gameplay could have been forgiven if it drew a bigger crowd, however, were not getting that. The DMR is WWWWWWAAAAAYYY more magnetic then the BR making it overpowered in matchmaking without bloom.
The point is that for this mistake they should be worried about -Yoink!- off the paying customers and not the freeloaders.
As a paying customer I think that the map pass should offer a little something extra on top of the “3” map packs which are now “2.”
STOP CATERING TO THE BKS WHO PLAY CALL OF DUTY AND CATER TO THE HARDCORE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY PAY TO PLAY!!!

Its a free trial 14 days I believe people can play for free online with them once the trial is over they have to pay just like the rest of us if they still want to keep playing on those maps that is.
The Map pass was supposed to be we get them right away, but it glitched in the in-game store and they had to fix it obviously people were going to get mad but now it shouldn’t be a problem with the next 2 map packs.
They will not refund you for what you paid in MSP. because these map packs are actually free it’s like downloading a demo you get to play like an 1 of a game to see if you like it and if you do you buy it. same with these maps.
