I know leaving games gets you banned progressively over time, but I’ve been banned for almost a week now. I’ve sent an appeal to 343, which they haven’t responded to; which isn’t surprising.
Has anyone else had this problem too?
Did you dodge matches because you wanted to play another gametype? (For example you need to get a win in oddball, you get ctf and slayer only so you start quitting to get into and oddball match)
You can get banned for that.
People that do it ruin a lot of matches for other players

I for sure did it early when the “beta” was released, but was never banned then. Since December, I’ve only left matches where my hud wasn’t visible or I’d be stuck in a match with nothing but a black screen.
My problem is more I haven’t been told why I’m banned and it’s been a week.
The day before I was banned, I didn’t leave any matches. Played a few btb matches, that’s all.
That’s why I’m confused and pissed 
There will be reasons why it’s perfectly acceptable to ban someone but I agree you should have the reason communicated to you and have the ability to appeal a decision if you think an error has been made.

I forgot to mention, I did file an appeal on Monday, and haven’t heard from 343 yet.
Yeah that sucks, obviously I can’t comment on why you were banned but I don’t think it’s right to ban people without telling them why and if you file an appeal you should get a response in a timely manner even if it needs further investigation.
I’ve often wondered about the legality of game bans, obviously businesses have the right to refuse custom to people but if you’ve paid for a game or in game items then they are denying you access, they can rightly argue that all of that is on the provision that you follow the user agreement but if there is a lack of transparency around why you have been banned and how appeals are dealt with businesses could easily abuse their position.
It would be like the police being able to arrest people without saying why and then making the decision on sentencing independent from a court of law. Very open to abuse.

This is ridiculous, at least need a reason you were banned. Can you screenshot what it shows on your screen?
Literally just says ‘user is banned’
Nothing else. If you get banned in the MCC, which I’m sure you know, a message will say when you’ll be unbanned. I never got a message. And I haven’t received a response from my appeal, which was filed on Monday.

A week sounds like more than an automatic ban due to quitting.
Hopefully the appeal ticket can explain why.
I got banned once on infinite, I accidentally ran over 3 people with my warthog in matchmaking completely on accident. All three. I guess I got one person twice. They kicked me from the game and I got a ten minute ban.
