And it feels pretty damn good.
Gone is that sense of having to play NOW or else I’m not gonna complete the weekly and get that cool looking visor. Gone is having to sit through multiple sessions of a mode I don’t like just because I have a challenge for it. Gone is the feeling that I’m engaging with some corporate’s moneymaker, rather than playing a game.
The game I’m playing now has proper social features, you stick with the people you’re playing with as you head into the next game, and you can talk to everyone including the enemy team. It doesn’t make you feel like you’re playing a multiplayer game by yourself.
God I really hate these modern gaming trends Halo Infinite has sloppily adopted, they suck so much enjoyment out of the overall experience. I don’t plan on installing it again unless the game makes a significant turn for the better. If all these feelings I’ve mentioned are things you experience as well, I suggest doing what I did, uninstall Halo Infinite.
To those of you who enjoy the game: Good for you. Gameplay wise it’s very good, and I’m glad that that’s something you can focus on. It’s just that for me, I need the total complete package to be good.
