It’s so unbalanced, I cant even begin to explain.
Halo 2, Halo Ce, Halo 3, Halo Wars, BrokeBack Mountain, Reach.
That’s the order.

lold at your order.
Would you care to elaborate on your qualms with Reach?
Have you tried the MLG playlist? They pride themselves on balance (not fun) and maybe that will suit you better =)
what’s wrong with reach? I really enjoy it

It would take to long… Really it’s just everything they did…I loved Halo since Ce, Halo 2 greatest Mp game ever. Halo 3 was alright then Reach was like “What the hell were they thinking for Mp”.
Halo was always a map control type game, a thinking game. If you played more you will always win. But in Reach that isn’t the case at all.
Halo is about winning and in reach it means nothing…
AA’s slows down gameplay and sprint allows you to run away win someone is one shot.
I think the a main weapon like the DMR doesn’t worked because its one shot.
the game is just unbalanced…
“I mean Lock on rockets for ground vehicles got taken out for a laser”
See how much easier they made the game from Halo 2 to 3. That’s one explain…
K fine, dont play it.
Logic of many trolls:
1.OMFG I hate this game it is abysmal.
2. Trolls on forum about how much said troll hates.
3. Continues playing game.
Answer: Masochism.
Haters gonna hate.

Have you played the TU/heard what was changed? AA’s are still there and the “core” functions are still drastically screwed up, but it’s at least more fun than vanilla. Also MLG settings are pretty much H2 without button combos now.
> Have you tried the MLG playlist? They pride themselves on balance (not fun) and maybe that will suit you better =)
This ideology is just as bad as the “competitive vs casual” one. Everyone plays for fun. Everyone. Just some people find just having a controller in their hand running around shooting everything in sight fun, while others only have fun when doing well (ie me), others only have fun when playing “good” games (ie close games), and others only find the most competitive settings possible against the most competitive opponents fun (1% Arena/MLG guys).
> It would take to long…
We have time.
> Really it’s just everything they did…
there has to be some redeeming quality, you have played over 2000 games in about a year, that not a bad deal for the money, just saying.
> I loved Halo since Ce, Halo 2 greatest Mp game ever.
Played those and enjoyed them alot, but I would not be able to play them forever, Reach for me was a nice addition to the franchise.
> Halo 3 was alright then Reach was like “What the hell were they thinking for Mp”.
Whatever they were thinking, even the people that hate it play alot.
> Halo was always a map control type game, a thinking game.
I threw pizza at my friend to win a game in CE once =/ (It worked)
> If you played more you will always win. But in Reach that isn’t the case at all.
Um, you have been “putting in the time” since CE and the result is a K/D of 3.8 and a W/L just under 70% after over 2000 games. Can you explain how you are being held back from winning by Reach? If the mechanics were better would you have a K/D of 5 and a 99% W/L?
> Halo is about winning and in reach it means nothing…
I like to win, it means something to me and most people that play any game, is this a 1-50 type complaint?
> AA’s slows down gameplay and sprint allows you to run away win someone is one shot.
This is untrue, check your stats on Halo 2, slayer games last anywhere from 7-9 minutes based on maps, game and players and it been that way from CE to Reach, saying that AA slows the game down is a matter of perception, not fact.
> I think the a main weapon like the DMR doesn’t worked because its one shot.

The balance you seek, does not exist, CE pistol was not balanced.
> “I mean Lock on rockets for ground vehicles got taken out for a laser”
That does not seem like a big problem to me.
> See how much easier they made the game from Halo 2 to 3.
No, I think Bungie advanced their game every step of the way and if they had re-released the same game over and over, people would now e complaining that it is the same old game =/ -Yoink!- if you do, -Yoink!- if you dont.
> That’s one explain…
Im not sure how much you have spent on Halo over the last decade, but I bet it was worth it, was for me.

The game is entirely social. I’m sure you could double the skill gap and tighter the trueskill restrictions and the kid would have a 1.5 K/D

Even if they are the same, this is a result of the tiny maps, skinny hallways, and huge explosives blast radius. The “average” kill time for everything may be the same, but I can assure you Reach’s variation in kill times is way bigger than H2’s or CEs. Reach I could see ranges, on average, from 0 seconds to 10 seconds, while H2 would have been more like 2-6 seconds. There is no denying that a static reticule and standard base player traits (no AAs) requires a heightening sense of awareness, better aim, quicker decision making, and more punishment for a lack of these. Whether you prefer this or not is totally irrelevant, it is fact that with each Halo game the dependence on these factors has been reduced.
“The balance you seek, does not exist, CE pistol was not balanced”
CE had the most balanced sandbox in the history of Halo. All mechanics revolved more closely around the Pistol than does Reach’s with the DMR.
“No, I think Bungie advanced their game every step of the way and if they had re-released the same game over and over, people would now e complaining that it is the same old game =/ -Yoink!- if you do, -Yoink!- if you dont.”
You can evolve a game without making it more “noob friendly” (ie reducing the skill gap.) And look at CoD; sure there’s SOME people complaining, but it still like quadrupling Reach’s numbers (accounting for MW2, BO, and MW3 combined)
Come at me bro
> I cant even begin to explain.
Don’t worry, I can’t either.
The first time I tried Reach in the beta I said NOPE and went straight back to playing Halo 3. Even after retail reach it’s just boring to play and too easy for long periods of time. The lack of ranked playlists in Reach disturbs me greatly. lolarena is a joke for a watered down ranked playlist.
> Have you tried the MLG playlist? They pride themselves on balance (not fun) and maybe that will suit you better =)
If he doesn’t have a party he shouldn’t even bother. I used to try and play MLG lone wolf and it was the most discouraging gaming experience of my life. If I wasn’t being teamed up with splitscreeners who left two seconds into the game and forced to play 4v2 against a team the entire match I was watching the kill feed as my teammates, one after another kept running into two groups of two over and over again and leaving me looking at a score of 34-7 a few minutes into the game.

I played like 9000 games of Halo 2 over multiple accounts. I loved Reach at first and I understand it’s not Halo 3 or 2. I’m just hoping Halo 4 is amazing the reason I got Xbox Live was because of Halo 2. Halo is my favorite game I’m just disappointed in Halo Reach. I love things about Reach but I also dislike things about it. I don’t like the Dmr and bloom. I miss the days when everyone was talking instead of worrying about their own rank. Halo Reach is also more Vehicle driven"to powerful" Its not linked to your heath its linked to your vehicle health it was never like that in halo 2 or 3

…worked really well for COD apparently.

I didn’t see that list coming, LoL nice.

Boom roasted.

Fair point but I think that is a matter of genra preference on the part of the current consumer market. Halo is a scifi game and some people prefer a little more realism in their game I suppose. But as I always say, CoD has put out 8 main title games in as many years, Halo has CE, 2, 3 and Reach and then a few side projects that didnt get the attention the big four got.
If CoD had to stop making games right now and Halo could make four more, who do you think would win the overall sales/popularity battle? HALO =D
> If he doesn’t have a party he shouldn’t even bother.
LOL, totally true, he will need emotional support from the verbal abuse.
> I used to try and play MLG lone wolf and it was the most discouraging gaming experience of my life.
Same here, after 5000 games, I thought it was about time, my impression=slayer pro with old halo settings and pick-up powers, different weapon spawns locations and a(sarcasm alert!) lovely group of kind helpful accepting players.
> If I wasn’t being teamed up with splitscreeners who left two seconds into the game
I keep hearing people talk about massive quitting in that playlist, more so than any other playlist other than maybe Arena, strange =/
> I was forced to play 4v2 against a team the entire match I was watching the kill feed as my teammates, one after another kept running into two groups of two over and over again and leaving me looking at a score of 34-7 a few minutes into the game.
Most likely should have spared yourself the pain and quit that one but meh, stats shmats.

I’ve already answered this the last time you posted it, but here it is again and so is my answer…
Yeah I’m confident enough to say that COD would still beat Lol-Reach if it didn’t release a new game every year, also doesn’t releasing a new Title supposedly scatter out their population? Halo has 2 Titles right now on XBL which means their population should zero in one or 2 titles and that should present larger numbers single handed.
COD has 5 of the total 6 right now on XBL and 3 are destroying Lol-Reach, imagine if all the COD community would gather in 1 or 2 titles! That online number would be beyond breaking and unbeatable.
If anything COD releasing a new title gives Lol-Reach a better chance of beating a single title in population not the entire COD mulit-title community.
> Have you tried the MLG playlist? They pride themselves on balance (not fun) and maybe that will suit you better =)
Yep because for a game to be fun it has to be unbalanced and random, and no one in the MLG playlist is actually having fun.
Why did you have to corrupt a perfectly good post by inserting that “(not fun)” part?
> what’s wrong with reach? I really enjoy it
Better question.
What’s right with it?
The answer being nothing of course.
