YEAH HI FORUM MEMBERS I KNOW 343 DOESN’T BROWSE THESE FORUMS AND THEY GET MODERATORS TO DO THEIR DIRTY WORK FOR THEM. BUT I AM SICK OF THIS -Yoink-.
THERE HAS BEEN TWO PLAYLISTS UPDATES PERIOD NOT ONE MORE.
I WAS TOLD WE GOT WEEKLY PLAYLIST UPDATES, NOT THAT WE COULD ENTER FOR OUR CHANCE TO WIN SOME BS TRUCK THAT SOMEBODY ALREADY HAS IT IN THE BAG FOR, THIS IS NOW THE 4TH WEEK IN A ROW THAT I HAVE BEEN YET AGAIN DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THAT 343I AND MICROSOFT HAVE NO INTEREST IN UPDATING THE PLAYLISTS.
RENAMING YOUR PLAYLIST TO INFINITY CTF OR INFINITY REGICIDE IS NOT A PLAYLIST UPDATE… THIS IS LITERALLY ABSURD. THERE IS NOTHING TO PLAY, EVERYTHING HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE THE SECOND WEEK OF THE GAME AND PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO GET BORED, EXCLUDING THE KIDS WHO JUST GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS.
YOU REMOVE SLAYER PRO WHEN LESS THAN 2K PEOPLE PLAY IT? REMOVE CRIMSON DLC PLAYLIST. THE SAME AMOUNT OF PEOPLE PLAY THAT THAT PLAYED SLAYER PRO. BTW, DO YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT I DID WITH MY HANDY DANDY DLC MR 343I AND MICROSOFT STUDIOS? WELL YOU GOT THAT ONE RIGHT I DELETED THEM OFF MY HARDDRIVE BECAUSE THEY SUCK

Pro was removed because the settings were not ideal for competitive play. As far as I’m aware, population wasn’t a factor in its removal.

There are two “MM Systems Team” accounts, one of which is fake. Here’s the legit one – an Administrator-rank account used by 343i’s Matchmaking employees. I doubt they’ll respond to PMs or XBL messages, but you can always check the “Last 10 Posts” tab on their profile and look for anything interesting. :\

That’s cool, at least they had a reason to remove it.
Why did they remove snipers after 1 day of it being out. Not ideal maps so they make huge maps that are DLC? All of the DLC is gigantic but again why can’t they add team snipers real quick?

Not sure. From what I remember (which isn’t much, I’ll admit), it was low-pop, not a core playlist (to the extent that, say, Slayer or CTF are), and not a DLC-only playlist (needed to ensure that DLC buyers can play their content).

I’m pretty sure that the VG thing isn’t occupying the bulk of their time. Aside from fixing occasional related bugs, most of the tournament stuff seems automated.
They’re working on fixes, but they have a tendency to hold off on telling us anything until they know they can deliver. (For example, they announced the Complex wall fix very late.) This is probably to avoid broken promises, which would be very bad for their reputation (even worse than a perception that they don’t communicate).
… And here we go again.
OP, you do realise it costs upward of $40,000 to release a title update right? They have done weekly updates, but you can only do so much in a weekly update before it becomes a large update, which they then have to pay more money for.
Slayer Pro was removed so they could tweak the settings (and hopefully the maps) for a more optimal competitive experience.
As for team snipers, well, that is a rotational playlist, but those have been put on halt for this “Infinity Challenge” thing that’s been going on for the last couple of weeks.
Once the infinity challenge is over (which to me looks like a way to save themselves time for various title updates and additions to the game, as doubles, slayer pro, and grifball are to be added in by the end of january if I recall) we should start seeing more playlists.
He speaks the truth. The only thing 343 has done since launch is remove playlists. No matter what you thought of Reach at least the playlists were never a problem.
I understand that you’re frustrated and I wish I could give some more helpful answers to your concerns… However, your behavior is edging into flaming and attacking other members, and I can’t allow that to continue.
