That post was very educational and gives credence to my prediction. That Cortana is well being controlled by possibly the Gravemind or the Didact or a partnership of the two. This would also make H5 make sense in that it is simply setting up H6. I don’t think anybody really wants Cortana to be the all powerful enemy. If 343 does allow for that(Cortana being controlled) to be the story, I think most people would be very satisfied with that whole story arc and allow for it to end and move on the New stories with new characters.

I don’t think Cortana is being controlled but I’m sure there is an influence due to the Domain. I’ve said since day one that Cortana as the antagonist makes sense. It’s going to be Chief and her together against the galaxy in the end once again as only Chief will support her. Cortana will come good in the end.

Well, seeing as how Cortana going rampant with Forerunner knowledge and taking control of a Halo ring and turning against humanity was an early / alternate storyline for Combat Evolved and hinted at in the Cortana Letters & Halo 3, and this fella was certainly familiar with all of that, it’s not too surprising and the idea has popped up from time to time among lore-heads.
