Halo 4 is that woman you meet in every life time. that looks real good, is educated, has her own job/car/home, sweet and caring. The “take home to mama” type. You get real excited you met her and she has interest in you! You date for a little bit have a few laughs Share some good times. Then you wake up one day and realize as amazing as she is shes just not quit the one your looking for. So you instantly get bored, break up with her and go about your life.
Halo4 has become that woman for me today and i say everything out of love. Im invested into the halo universe and enjoyed every instalation of bungie/343 games. Including odst and wars.
May the lesson be learned today you cant cattier to the noobs/casual/non-dedicated fan. I played a game of dominion just a second ago and had to quit out early do to i couldnt bare the tom-foolery that was taking place. Hardcore camping, the god gun (aka: boltshot) putting a huge dent on my k/d, teammates splattering each other, goofying off, unbalanced maps. I felt like i was in slow motion standing there watching the game i enjoy so much just fall apart, iwas ashamed. Clearly im not the only one who feels this way cause your population of your game dropped by half in like the first few days! Ive never seen a drop that fast in any game before its a shame it had to be halo!
You guys realy have to keep your ears open to those who want you to successed. Listen to your competive, dedicated, hardcore gamers, because the simple fact is they are the core of any games success. They are the ones who will continuesly play years after its release, the ones who buy the dlc contents, participate in tournaments, they have the tightly woven web of friends that ultimately keep a game from dying. Those people have all but just about abandoned the game and clearly its not looking well. You know what must be done to turn your game around. Theres nothing but some minor tweaks to weapon damage and control. Better maps and spawning (breaking back a few classics wont hurt), a ranking system on skill that works for competivte players and for those who want to personaly improve. Gametypes, you keep taking away the old favorites the competive player gametypes. I personally wish team snipers had a place amongst the gametypes, but it was taken down before it could have its day.
343 take my advice, my opinion which i strongly believe is the core to your success or failure. Your sink or swim moment. Your game is rampent with little children who go fooling around who are shattering the dreams of the core fans of what the thought halo 4 was going to be!
This is the part where i end our relationship temporarily:
Hey, 343… Honey. I think that it is in our best interest that we take a break from each other. No im not breaking up with you, but we have some self improvement we both need to work on, you more than me, but besides the fact. We should find ourselves, i might start seeing other people dont be alarmed it wont be anything serious. I will always love you, once we fix our little problems and differences i promise we will be together again…

Great post, ignore the haters and trolls. Comparing Halo 4 to a relationship with a women was genius and very apt. I feel completely the same way and back up every one of your points. Halo 4 lacks depth is basically what you’re saying.

I believe it takes more that a swear to make someone a troll. I get what he’s saying and I’ll give him credit to the comparison, but that last paragraph is what creeped me out, hopefully, you return OP. Sorry if I was a bit harsh in my first response.

The last paragraph is him basically saying that both parties are temporarily parting ways, as 343 in this case, needs to go and improve itself before the loyal fans come back.
The same applies to a relationship with a girl, say a guy cheats on a girl, the guy needs to leave the relationship, find out why he did it, resolve this issue in himself then if the the other party, the girl in this case, agrees, starts up the relationship on a more mature, evolved level.
Bringing this back to 343, basically 343 cheated on it’s customers by not providing a lot of features promised, like skilled ranks, party and camapign theatre, longer progression system, better weapon balancing etc. So customers feel their trust and long time loyalty has been betrayed. Thats why the population is basically geting lower each week.

Well i can understand why its hostile around here! Everyones favorite game is on its death bed! We all want to trust 343 with our major investment in the halo franchise. This is technically their first game and i was expecting some hiccups and not everything to be perfect. So theres tons of input on how to make it perfect! Thus begins politics in the game and the two separate parties rises up, and arguments and disagreements.
Party1: hey 343 do this to make your game better!
Party2: no 343 don’t listen to that guy his stupid! Do this instead…
And blah blah blah blah

Wow HaloJolly and you must speak on behalf of all women everywhere? In that case, I will speak on behalf of men everywhere and say I found the words ‘you will never get a women again’ highly insulting and the most riduclous notion ever. There’s someone out there for everyone. The only thing you did was make yourself look extremely conceited and narrow minded.
People break up and get back together all the time, tv example, Ross and Rachel on friends. People make mistakes and they learn from them. There’s not a single person on the planet that hasn’t made a mistake, it’s part of the learning process. If failure didn’t occur, we wouldn’t know what success is.
I think some of your life lessons are giving people second chances, forgiveness and more open mindedness.

I guess o0DragnFyre0o was right, people are becoming hostile right now, this used to be a nice place but people have become jaded with the wave after wave of complaints hitting these boards. I guess people are being swept under and drown with other people’s negativity and then lashing out here.
Mcangus hopefully youll see the truth to my odd humorous truth.
343 needs the construtive critisim, fact. Or else the game will never see daylight again.
Its going to take forever for them to see what actually needs to be fixed because of the users who go spreading their narrow minded negativity like a virus.
For those who agree with me just let your voices be heard louder and in a positive out look over those who make a point to find something so negative and belittling about every constructive thing said.
