But, when some scrub dumps the Gauss Hog over the cliff just for laughs everytime it spawns when playing Spartan Ops on The Cauldron, or EMP’ing the Mantis in MP just because someone else got to it first, it gets hard to keep a level head and be neutral on views towards the community.
All I’m doing is just trying to complete the mission or help out the team as much as I can, but when Random has to be ABSOLUTELY disruptive, or “troll” then I really don’t know what else I can do.
It is really frustrating that there is no proper punishment system in place for this kind of behavior.
I absolutely LOVE Halo, but hopefully, when the CSR is implemented next year it’ll sift out the filth that are these kinds of people.
I cant help but feel this is about me, because your spartan ops situation was exactly what I did like 15 minutes ago to someone.
When someone shoots at me so ill drive a warthog for them, when I clearly have a power weapon and im trying to get kills with it, why wouldnt I get in the warthog and drive it off the cliff? Its not like they’re going to stop shooting at me trying to get me to drive for them.
There are Three solutions:
A: drive for them like a good teammate
B: try to ignore them as they keep shooting you
C: Drive them off the cliff
9 times out of 10 ill choose A, but if I have a power weapon and someone trys to get me to drive anyways by shooting me over and over with the gaus cannon…im choosing C
The whole EMP the Teammates vehicle in matchmaking is rather annoying in infinity slayer seeing as you cant betrey the person doing it. Ive seen it done to the tank on Exile, 343 needs to make it so friendlys cant emp their own vehicles.
I agree. Unfortunately the game and forum have become nothing more than a place for others to whine and cry and make empty threats to leave for COD.
My suggestion is to start a group of like minded players that you know and trust to enter the world of trolling multiplayers. I’ve participated in such groups playing Halo 3 and Reach and found the entire game experience much more enjoyable.

That reminds me if a match I played in Halo 2 once. And the beginning of the match, these two guys ran for the driver seats of the Warthogs and honked the horns until we all loaded up. Once everyone was in, they drove straight into the water. I died laughing. I thought it was quite funny.
One of many reasons I always find the constant COD insults hilarious. I prefer Halo, but good lord there are a ton of miserable -Yoinks!- on this game.

Well, my view on the Forums is: The “Halo 4” section is really just a bunch of folks wanting to burn down 343i’s office building because they feel that Halo was “ruined”. No. I feel Halo 4 has taken on a sense of Halo 1’s subtitle and “Evolved”. 343i has taken the franchise and, in a VERY good sense, “given it a new coat of paint”.
On the other hand, you’ve got the folks, like me, in the “Universe” Section of the Forums who look at Halo as MORE than just a videogame. Such an expansive universe filled with an intriguing story.
