Magnets solve 70% of that problem. Otherwise, yes, yes, sure, and get rid of budget, just limit pieces. (Should be easy enough with the new engine.
Why not make it like a fixed and less annoying version of Far Cry 3’s Map Editor, with a few added traits to make it easier, like;
-Rotation Snap.
-Precise Geometry.
-Object Grouping.
-Be able to make some objects affected to varying degrees.
-Better Trait Zones.
-Better Gravity Zones.
While they’re at it, let’s take the multiple forge worlds idea from Halo4 but for the lord’s sake PLEASE make em all bigger. Halo Reach’s forge world got boring after seeing the same green grass and blue sky.
And maybe some options to color vehicles? who’s up for being red banshees?
and maybe be able to change the theme of different blocks like: Covie, Unsc, Flood, Forerunner just something to keep it all from looking the same

Slow edit is for good forgers. Edit coordinates is for being to lazy to use slow edit (forge pieces some times flicker when using edit coordinates).
Been there done that. Another off topic conversation that ends with AI being to complicated at this time in computer engineering; possible but complicated.
Could we add a copy paste to that?
Screen lag is more annoying. Because a grid is see through the game has to render anything behind it with the opaqueness of the grid. This is why objects with any lights and/or glass are restricted. Another thing to mention is that the forge file can only hold so much, so there will always be a budget.
Add multiple forge world like maps
.forge world
.beach/islands(not mushrooms)
.jungle
.Arctic
.desert
.mountains
Add the ability to remove all water
Add the ability to remove water kill boundries
Add more natural options like
.shrubs
.dead trees
.water falls
.ponds
.multiple tree types (palm,basic,etc)
Add the option to combine things(tank gun on falcon)
Dont restrict us to certain vehicle variants(troop hog, forky…)
Add more props (fire, soda machine)
Add more pallets(insurectionist,covy,etc)
Add wildlife AI(guta,birds,moa,fish)
Add human and covy AI(can add IWHBYD)
Add time of day
Add weather/Natural affects(Rain, fog, snow, sandstorm)some can be on together and some will block player view based on intensity.
I think weather and ai could work in the sense of boundries to limit weather area and distance an AI can move.
