Now that you’ve taken the (click) bait, let me run my theory by you…
Anvil’s Legacy dropped at the very end of August, right? Then Monitor’s Bounty dropped- completely out of nowhere- in early December. That’s a gap of just a little over 3 months.
If 343 Industries follows that pattern, I predict the next major content drop will arrive in late March/early April. Based on what modders like GameCheat13 have uncovered, it will most likely be a Halo Wars 2 themed update, with Banished versions of the Ghost, Wraith, and Banshee, Brute weapons like the Spiker (which currently exists in an unfinished form in the game files) some kind of Brute sniper weapon like the one GameCheat13 dug up, and maybe that 3rd Grenade Launcher which (for whatever reason) was not included in Monitor’s Bounty.
There’s also some Brute Scopes, but I REALLY they decide to leave those out; I’m tired of them making us waste REQ points on alien scopes for our loadout weapons. I never use the Hybrid or Morph sights on any of my guns.
The next update will probably add lives to Warzone Firefight along with Brutes/Banished enemies. I hope the introduction of limited lives also means the removal of the respawn timer penalties that no one likes.

it would be silly to release something too close to HW2’s release date. They want the attention to be on HW2 for now, give it a moth though and the timing would be good.

To help avoid…
I’ve already seen them. I enjoyed them. There’s always that part of the community that’s going to be super unsatisfied. But let’s stay on topic.
Banished Variants, Brute Chopper and Brute Weapons, Atriox Variant of Grav Hammer, etc. There is a big list I would love to see in the next update and possible a HW2-themed Warzone Map would be nice.

I don’t think we’d get Banished things honestly. The UNSC still doesn’t really know about them since everyone that has come into contact with them died… except the Spirit of Fire, but they can’t really tell the rest of the UNSC about them.
