Yes, I feel like it’s OP. I think if they changed it to one shot per clip, that would make it more fair.
Same as the normal sniper? So the normal sniper kills you and disintergrates you in ONE SHOT to the toe? Didn’t think so, The original sniper/beam only kill in one shot with damage boost, the binary kills you regardless, I’d be surprised if it didn’t allocate TWO kills for shooting one person with damage boost on. I agree with the OP, Binary sucks balls. Over powered isn’t the word, They think by adding lasers onto it it evens out it’s damage…
I one shot an enemy banshee which just spawned with the Binary Rifle and damage boost. I agree with OP it is a litte overpowered.
idk. i think that hte laser pointing out exactly where i am makes up for it. since ive rarely gotten it on any map other than ragnarok. so i usually get dropped after just a few kills.

Erm… the Binary Rifle one shots anywhere on your body.
While the UNSC and Beam Rifle is a 2 shot in the chest.
And no it’s not OP because you can’t be ‘‘Discrete’’ with it. Freaking mega beam that shoots out accross the beam whenever you zoom in.

The laser doesn’t justify it’s damage. I once got one from an Ordnance drop, zoomed in and saw that someone had just gotten into their Banshee (this was on Ragnarok, I was at our base) and I shot the front of it. It instantly killed the pilot. Usually by the time you’ve seen the laser, you’re dead. It doesn’t justify it at all.
You can’t compare the Rocket Launcher’s one shot capability with the Binary Rifle.
The Binary rifle is long range, precise and the the projectile speed is INSTANT. The rocket Launcher’s strong points are not at long range, and the rocket has a travel time.
I’m surprised no-one blatantly said QUICK SCOPING yet.
But seriously guys, you can shut it down simply by being aware, knowing where the laser came from, getting your mic on to tell everyone where the sniper is so someone can aid you or deal with the problem him/herself, grab a camo and countersnipe, sneak around and get him while he isn’t looking, or if you are countersnipering, then don’t waste your damn time positioning yourself play any ultra precision games with the binary who has clearly yet to see you, shoot him and kill him fast.
It’s not OP, I don’t see it very often anyway, the Sniper seems to come up the most, Beam Rifle occasionally, and even more rarely, the Binary Rifle. Besides, if it’s scoped in, you see a red laser sight so you know someone has a Binary Rifle, plus if it’s fired from the hip, the reticle is huge which would fit better during CQ combat, but it’s a sniper rifle, your not meant to use it at CQ.

I only think the weapon is OP because of random weapon drops. You can never be sure as to when somebody has it, and there is not much you can do when you don’t even know somebody else is using it.

You know what… Nobody seems to have realised I was being SARCASTIC about all the NERF THIS requests(let alone that the bottom line of my OP actually SAYS it was a joke). I mean… COME ON PEOPLE… I was asking for a -Yoink!- Mammoth to counter the bloody binary rifle.
The binary rifle is not Overpowered… NOTHING is overpowered. In fact I actually find that the game is pretty evenly balanced overall.
I agree, it is pretty OP. One shot one kill, regardless of where you were hit.

Lol, you obviously haven’t done a comparison between the Sniper and the Binary.
it would be awesome if they made it bolt action. that would be cool.

Of course you can’t be sure if someone has a Binary Rifle.
It’s not like every time someone scopes in the Binary Rifle there isn’t a red “Predator” laser going around the map. /sarcasm

No man, what’s funny is that there’s gonna be a ton of posts AFTER YOU that still think the OP is serious. I haven’t looked yet, but you just know.
It’s not OP in anyway. It is done just right. Snipers in real life kill in one shot. So whats the point?
