I think speed running will be easier in halo 5

With all the new abilities and mobility, a thought came into my mind. Won’t speed running become easier? Much easier? If you’re trying to run and you’re under fire, you can slide. You also have unlimited sprint. Thrusting and charging can also give a boost. Could it be a bit too easy?

Unless Halo 2 Legendary Jackal Snipers are back.

Well they are saying halo 5 will have the longest campaign yet, and that they have toned up the difficulty so maybe not as much as you think.

What if Speed runs are going to be clocking in at 45 minutes? What a glorious day that will be.

Maybe. Keep in mind that the levels are supposed to be massive and that the campaign is supposed to twice as long as Halo 4. I wouldn’t expect too may ways to get outside of the map either.

I feel like everything will be easier.

Have mercy on us all.

I reckon it will be more interesting, but not exactly easier. Remember you will always have a squad of four who will be confused as -Yoink- when you continuously ditch them. Also a constant squad means that there will be more enimies who are probably more challenging.

Speed runs just need 4 player co-op now

well for people who want to speed run wont they have our canon fodder er i mean squad mates to distract the enemy? they respawn anyways so its no loss

I guess it depends how many areas will require you to kill off the enemies before advancing

Run around a corner
Gets shot 30 times in the head

This.

Or a constant squad means a good distraction to throw at enemies while uou run past and complete the mission.

Well, I actually hope that it will be easier, and that there will not be achievements for that, I’m having so much trouble with the truth and reconciliation jump in H CEA…

You have to remember that you have to choose between speed or offense. And from my experience with Halo 4 I’m guessing more in game cutscenes.

A good speed runner doesn’t worry about the Jackal snipers. Only few levels have jackal snipers you can’t avoid, but some of the most horrific sections like Jackal sniper forest on delta halo or the streets of new Mombasa on Outskirts are completely skipable.

I wonder if Halo 5 will force you to clear every enemy before moving on. Maybe you can ditch the teammates and meet them at very checkpoint.

You’re trying to bring back the nightmares, aren’t you? ~.~

and on what are you basing this assumption?

I don’t think it will be easier because they said it will be harder on Legendary. Even though you have a squad with you, they’ve scaled up the difficulty to match that.
