They never actually showed his death. He could have survived somehow and they think he died. Probably jacked a banshee… Maybe a reference or an appearance in a future Halo game? What do you guys think?
He’s not dead. He’s just missing in action.
He’s dead. I know we all want another spartan-II alive, but there’s not. Chief is the last.
He was last seen pinned to the ground by 4 Ultra & Zealot Class Elites, overwhelmed and disarmed, with another Zealot walking up to him with an Energy dagger.
Seriously, if he managed to survive all that bare-handedly, he’s without his helmet, so a well placed fire and we’ll be repeating what happened to Kat.
Don’t forget that the planet was being glassed at the time too, and there’s no way he’s surviving that.
The real thing is, if Six was to physically appear in a future Halo game, it would ruin the whole “your own character with his/her own design” thing.
He is dead. All of Noble Team is dead. End of story. No miraculous survival. No He fought back and survived. Just Dead.
> He’s dead. I know we all want another spartan-II alive, but there’s not. Chief is the last.
There are, last I counted, 3 or 4 Spartan IIs alive besides Chief. Noble Team were all Spartan IIIs and only about 3 or 4 of them are alive as well.
There are other spartan II’s alive. But noble 6 isnt one of them as he is a spartan III. Also i doubt 343i would bring back a side character bungie created.
I highly doubt Noble 6 would have survive so many covenant and the glassing of the planet. Just because they don’t show his death doesn’t mean he survived.
He’s dead, halsey told it! HE’S DEAD!
Six dying undermines the point of Reach, which was a literal “Passing the torch.” Six’s, and Noble Team’s, actions allowed the Pillar of Autumn to escape and find the Halos, which led to the end of the Human-Covenant War. Spartans in the war, especially the Spartan-IIIs, were never developed for long-standing conflict. “Lives for time.” That was the point behind them.
Six’s sacrifice represents the beginning of the end for the Covenant. It makes no sense if (s)he survived.
Oh Lord. Not this again. Six is dead and thats it. He did not survive. Even if he survived after the end of Reach, the Covenant would have killed him eventually. This topic died long ago and should stay dead. You should have seen the posts people made when this topic was alive.
And to the people above, there are 9 Spartan-II’s left alive:
- John-117
- Fred-104
- Kelly-087
- Linda-058
- Naomi-010
- Douglas-042
- Jerome-092
- Alice-130
- Maria-062 (retired)
He’s dead. Very dead.
How do you guys know about all these Spartans, I honestly only knew of chief and noble team. Are they only in the books?

I think your missing Jun.
I think not showing the actual moment of death was done on purpose. Having invested many hours into our character’s story, it’s only natural for us to hope that our character lived on.
With this ending, we are allowed to believe what we want. We don’t feel cheated, so to speak. So now our character may have perished in glorious and overwhelming combat with several Elites. But maybe he or she survived that battle, only to meet an end when the surface of the planet was glassed by the Covenant. It is even possible in your version that Noble Six managed to leave the planet and was killed when he or she returned to Reach later.
My Noble Six happened to perish on the planet at the end of the story though. Partly, because I liked the idea that a Spartan III would fight just as hard defending the planet as a Spartan II would. It’s like saying, “Honor those that came before you.” I also really wanted that sacrifice to be part of my character’s story. So much so that I made that part of my Halo 4 character’s backstory as well. The reason my Halo 4 character volunteers for the Spartan program is because of the sacrifices that Noble Team made on Reach.
=d

Two problems with your theory.
1). Jun is most likely dead.
2). Even if he survived, he would not be on the list because Jun is a Spartan-III not II.
Guys, everyone on Noble was a spartan III except Jorge, he was a II.

I’d love to know how he survived being stabbed in all his vital organs with an energy sword.
We didn’t see Carter or Jorge die either. Maybe Emile only got a flesh wound and Kat was only knocked unconscious by that needle through the brain. Yay! Noble Team are all alive. Reach sequel and lack of common sense FTW!

Not sure if serious…
it’s been confirmed in an interview by the devs (developers) of Reach that Noble Six (died), and this is the only Halo game i’ve played and think this is the best one yet (even if i haven’t played any Halo, besides Reach).
