Something is up with multiplier in my opinion. I go back to back games winning good kills and deaths no problem, all round fair games. Then all of a sudden a streak that follows, I get Random -Yoink- spawns, spawn killed, lagging (in favor of other team), pistol not shooting when trigger pulled, people getting kicked off my team when winning, lagged out games resulting in DNF, getting banned, weapons not firing, people who are “one shot” taking fire and not dying when it’s clear hit markers. Game after game
I’ve noticed this pattern for a few months now and heard it from other people too. Somebody pointed out to me that if you check people’s win percentage they’re all around the same 50%. Idk!
its the damn illoumintoes
Not rigged. Difference is the server you’re playing on. Halo 5 doesn’t match players up based on ping. When you have lower ping than everyone else, you will seem much better than your rank. When you have higher ping, you’ll get smoked by people worse than you. Ping is based on the server you’re playing on. Sometimes you get a server close to home. Sometimes you get a server far from home. Halo 5 and all competitive shooters need choice of server.
You realize, I hope, that a 50/50 win/loss is exactly what high-functioning skill-based matchmaking is supposed to produce?
Dude…there’s even a map called The Rig! The pieces are all falling into place, man.

That made me laugh.

That sounds like your connection is hit or miss. Actually not everyone win percentage is about 50 percent, that is just most of us in the average skill range that run solo. The guys who are either higher skilled or run with a team are usually higher. The ones who are awful are much, much lower. I saw one guy with about 10% Ban thread.

Yeah, but not artificially! Every game should be reasonably close at even ranks… You get close games but then you sometimes get matches where you’re seemingly meant to get blown out from the start… or where you are on the better end of things.
Like why do I party up with a couple of other Onyx players vs a team of Onyx, and our 4th random is a freaking legit Gold or Platinum and starts the game off AFK, and then comes back and keeps dying, then quits?
It’s just so unfair and suspicious sometimes the way the game sets up matches. Like there wasn’t another Onyx somewhere out there that couldn’t have filled their spot…
I noticed that after I finished my placement matches back in June for team slayer I got Gold because the people I played with were mainly Silver/Gold. Once I progressed up to Platinum things got a lot harder for me. It’s just the way matchmaking and Trueskill work. Like people have said before a 50/50 w/l is how you know matchmaking is working
I wouldn’t call Halo5 multiplayer rigged but like a few on here have stated there is no control on what server one plays on which makes all the difference in the world…This will be really noticeable if one is a lone wolf and rarely teams up with others. If one teams up with players near them or from around there area then chances are you will always get a good server with the best ping and the game will be more consistent game after game.

I know this is an old thread, but is there a way to get matches with opponents with the same ping?

Please don’t revive old threads
