I think I've realised why I'm playing bad in arena

  • AR/Pistol starts - Keep switching at certain points in the map and normally have the wrong one when someones there. I’m just better with BR starts. - Tiny radar - Constantly getting shot from behind or running into groups of enemies because I don’t know my surroundings like I used to. - ‘Auto aim’ - Seems to be at an all time low. My aiming seems completely ‘off’ in this game for some reason. (Others have said the same) - Playing solo - This ones more my problem only, but going into team games on your own normally always ends bad. Quitters etc.

Starting loadouts are traditional Halo. The tiny radar will start to “go away” as you get used to maps. As for auto aim, well you shouldn’t even rely on that. And try to always play with a team.

The aiming system is definitely a problem. Aim assist should be upped, but the main problem is acceleration and deadzones.

Aim assist is fine, the weapons load out is fine. Look acceleration could be upped but theses are not the reasons/excuses for your preformance.

Play as a team, you can still go lone wolf but be aware of your surroundings.
Pistol is fine its like a tiny dmr at best. Ar is fine it can beat the pistol and smg at mid like it should but dies once you fight anything at mid. I toss it away for a br or light rifle every time, because they can and consistantly can beat it. I have yet to lose 1v1 fuolll health br or dmr v ar battle or a br or dmr v pistol battle.
The weapon balance is fine.

I play as a lone wolf, I used to play with my wife. She would get battle rattled and throw sticky nades on me, only compounding the frustration. Pick someone from the randoms you are playing with and run with them, if you can run with the whole team and mow the field.

Thanks for tips

what a nonsensical answer. The tiny motion tracker can’t go away with knowing maps, it’s about the surroundings where the enemy is !! There’s no safe zone in this game anymore, I never know if I will get shot from somewhere I feel a loss of control just like in cod. The control of the match was something I’ve loved halo for and now it’s gone. Also it’s not only the auto aim but the aim acceleration from normal sight so smart scope which causes the aim to be off.

Yes! Thats a good description. “loss of control” is what I feel I’m getting too. Just like Cod - No wheres safe, could be picked off at any moment

playing solo in ANY multiplayer game is going to be tough. i know this yet still do it all the time lol.

For the aiming, I just changed the sensitivity and it works fine for me. But thats just me.

the auto aim isnt the issue
Its the grossly large deadzones compared to other games and a ridiculous amount of acceleration. Strafe dancing is ruined for me since the deadzones are so enormous and it requires so much input just to get the damn reticle to move.

The radar is a joke right now and would be better off just disabling the game.

After playing Destiny PvP for months, it’s refreshing to actually have to aim without the huge aim assist that game has.

My only problem is with the radar and I think I’m just getting used to it. Although I haven’t been playing that bad.

Auto aim is far less than its ever been, but i like it.
took me alot of matches to get used to.

i’m fine with AR starts, but i do feel the OP’s pain of being badly equipped in certain situations, i feel much better now i know where BR/DMR spawns are on most maps. Do some research in a custom game or something?

The radar isnt even worth looking at anymore and maybe its time to just get rid of it altogether imo… i cant understand why theyve made it so small a radius and still kept it in the game, i get ground pound by players who never appeared on my radar ffs.

after 50 matches I feel much better with the game, i search solo too, but when i find good players i just invite them to fireteam, and 80% of the time players always accept. never be afraid to invite people from match into your team, normally they oblige coz it makes them feel good that you know they are a good player imo.
