I think the time has finally come for Halo to get multiplayer bots. I’d prefer AI bots with easy-legendary difficulty modifiers. I wouldn’t mind using Xbox Ones new tech though that allows the AI to learn how you and your friends play. Either way it would be a nice way to ween new players into the mp. It’s also a nice way to practice when none of your friends are online of you want to play a new DLC map but you’re having trouble playing it in matchmaking. You could also use the bots to test certain gametypes you’ve created and such.
Then what would be the point of buying Xbox Live Gold?
Yuck. Custom games would become boring and repetitive. You couldn’t play anything outside the standard gametypes (Slayer, CTF, etc…)
Minigames would be impossible, or at least improbable.

To play online against real people. Many games have MP bots for private matches and still hold a big online population.
It’s also a nice feature for those who don’t play online (bad connection, doesn’t want to spend extra money etc). I have always wanted this feature in every game, which has multiplayer.
In the way you put it, I think the forever alone meme would be the only one truly interested. 
But I see what you’re getting at. It could be useful.
I’d prefer AI in a Far Cry 3 map editor-type… map editor for Halo 5. You’d be able to tinker with their individual difficulty in the editor itself, as well.

If they added the map editor plus bots I think a proper D-Day map could be made to its full potential.

Agreed. I would love to see bots, mainly for Custom Games. By now the hardware should definitely be up to the task.
But AI in Forge would be great as well.
It’s a good idea. but a horrible one for MP. Keep MP AI free. i wouldn’t mind bots in Slayer and the stadard-but-modified gametypes. It would be fun to practice while solo
I actually made a thread asking for bots, even cloud powered bots several days ago…
I do hope they add bots though.
I’d love for them to be in custom games but not in matchmaking.
