I THINK I JUST REALISED SOMETHING.

with this new update coming next Wednesday I thought to my self…this is actually a complete game now …infection warzone unsc flying vehicle and so forth…so in a sense we got a pretty good game now right?? So maybe we didn’t get it all at launch but we got it in the end at least ,for free, so in a sense haven’t 343 done pretty well? Isn’t that worth something ? I really want your opinions…would you have wanted to wait till June 2016 for halo 5 with all this content, or are you okay with getting it early and low on content and with some people’s opinions an unfinished game?..
(me personal like the free updates and I get excited)

Of course they made it free, it was simply business and nothing more.

I would have preferred it coming out this June with all this content. From a sales perspective, Fallout 4, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 all made it difficult for players to get all of them. If it came out now, what would be the competition? Everybody seeing Halo Wars and getting pumped for Halo 5 release would have made this entire month DOMINATED by nothing but Halo. Halo as far as the eye can see! Tears flowing down face

Halo 5’s actual release date is June 29th 2016
Edit: How do I have so many likes on this? Thanks!

If “pretty well” means taking 6+ months after launch to actually have the game in its finished form, yeah sure, why not.

I totally agree. I love looking forward to new updates and speculating what could be behind the blurred image and getting excited to use the new reqs and game modes!

I hope those are tears of joy, if not what are you doing on this website?

Halo 5 is good Halo but many people don’t like waiting, they expect everything in the updates at launch.

And what did you do before the era of DLC (PS1, PS2, etc.)?

Companies used to release full games that usually exceeded their predecessors in some manner at launch without the need for excessive delays and patching stuff in, all for one solid price without microtransactions.

Alternative Perspective:

We’ve been playing the “real” Halo 5 paid BETA multiplayer since last year. With a donate option that gives a little REQ bundle bonus.

Finally, next week, the full multiplayer game is releasing for real to everyone, with a 1 week free trial for anyone that didn’t participate in the paid beta.

All those things people have been complaining about that weren’t there at launch? They need to revise that list, because next week is the true launch of Halo 5.

at least I didnt pay for it :V

They would be, if that is what had happened! From an economics guy, this is a FANTASTIC plan - I agree 99%. I just thinking it’s missing a few things from the gametype/game variant category that would make it actually complete… and IMO they’re really such softballs for winning over classic and new fans alike. The tears right now are tears of frustration because business decisions are seeming to be made that are keeping this game from being the best halo…

But, to answer OPs question, I would preferred it launched in June with this amount of content, or at least with the current gametypes and the -Yoink- remixed maps, I really think 343 would have dominated the market, especially when school is out over the summer and people need new games!!!

Still missing race, and some important social playlists (rumble pit, action sack, social 6v6/5v5, etc) but other than that yeah I’d say we’re good.

Thank you yes basically this is what I meant in my post but those more concise haha hell yes

I’ll give them this… at the very least, the very least, we now have the ‘full’ game for the original price tag.

We didn’t have to keep shelling out money for ‘dlc’ that was actually just parts of the basic game they either cut or were too lazy to put in before shipping.

Happy, not happy. Would have been better if it was all there at launch instead of a staggered release but at least it didn’t cost any more money to finally get.

Better than have the ENTIRE game delayed for 5 months.

Of course I would have preferred Halo 5 been delayed… but you guys wanted it ASAP and were actively crucifying everyone who said otherwise before launch.

We’ll see when it gets here on the 29th, because now it’s been so long I have to fight for updates to rekindle my interest in the game

Not really.
