So today while working I thought of a comment made about the Composer which is either a forerunner or one of their machines that supposedly has the ability to turn a sentient being into a A.I.
Keep reading I’m getting to the good part.
I also thought of about the well known fact that Cortana is dying because she has been in commission for 8 years while A.I.'s like her self begin rampancy after 7. And as far as human technology goes there is no known way to prevent it.
So the matter of the fact is that a big part of the story will be about Cortana going into rampancy and the Master Chief looking for a solution.
So here’s my theory…
If the Composer can turn sentient beings into A.I’s then why can it not do the opposite. I currently think that (I have supporting evidence below), in the Mission called Composer (In the achievement list on a recent Bulletin), the Master Chief activates the Composer and makes Cortana HUMAN.
And here is why I didn’t immediately disregard these consecutive thoughts…
In the new Halo 4 trailer a script is shown and a part is readable. Read it below.
“In that case, you won’t mind…” Cortana appears behind the Didact.
at all of the Cortanas emerging from the Bridge
“Compassion for mankind is misplaced.” – Didact
“I’m not doing this for mankind.” Chief then charges thet Didact.
rushes towards Didact and jumps all over him (legs, arms, chest, back)
Several takes of <mark>“Cortana” tackling and climbing on random objects at full speed.</mark>
<mark>Didact is attacked by Cortana.</mark> He attempts <mark>to swat at Cortana</mark> as a means of self defence.
Didact unclenches his fist and drops Chief.
<mark>Cortana begins restraining Didact</mark> by constraining his limbs to the Bridge.
-Several takes of <mark>“Cortana” climbing on “Didact”</mark> actor and then…
a specific body part (head, back, waist, knees, ebows, shoulders)
-Didact struggle idle.
-Chief is released
-Chief immobilised pose
-Chief falls, lands on edge
-Chief hanging idle
Now tell me why or how on Earth could an A.I. tackle, climb, be swatted, or restrain someone. Please discuss and correct me if I am wrong…in which case there is always room for error so I probably am because there are just so many possibilities.
I was thinking the same thing, and the only downside that I can see it having is that something as major as Cortana becoming human seems better suited for Halo 5 or 6, later into the trilogy.
But that’s just me. If we’re right, I’m sure it’ll be awesome!
I’ve seen a few others bring this theory up. While I wouldn’t like it if it did happen, it’s a possibility. But it’s also possible that Cortana’s doing this with Forerunner tech or something similar.
Also, if 343i were to unveil something as big as this I doubt it would be in a script, though I could be wrong.
As soon as the script was leaked I thought it was obvious…
Achievement name for a mission near the end of the game + leaked script describing Cortana having a body = highly possibile that Cortana somehow becomes organic or like EDI from the Mass Effect, gets a robot body.
There are some holes in this theory though…
It’s NOT certain that the Composer can transfer a synthetic mind into organic…
Another hole in the theory is IF it can transfer the mind into an organic body, does it make the body too? or does it need a dead body?
Another theory I have been conjuring up is that Master Chief or someone will have telekinetic powers.
Sounds silly huh? but I have some evidence…vague evidence.
The leaked script mentions telekinesis just barely.
Somewhere while I was reading Primordium, I came across a conversation the Didact has regarding something similar to telekinesis. If anyone knows what I am talking about, help me out with the page number.

It is a character class that was part of a canceled game by Bungie and Ensemble. Most importantly look at the Trivia…“It is possible that the Psion could manipulate physics through technological enhancements, not unlike Biotics in the popular RPG Mass Effect. The original concept for Halo itself had mentioned humans with similar abilities manifesting early on, particularly in older advertisement and informational pieces for the game.”
