I checked the email in my contact info and found an email from microsoft with the subject, “Here is your gift from Xbox LIVE.” Inside was a halo 4 banner and a message telling me to click the link below to collect my reward. I clicked and was brought to a page that wanted me to enter my personal info, name, address, phone number, email, after doing so I was brought to a page with a code already written in the redeem box. Is this specialization code?

I ask if this is the Specialization code, because it does not state what the code is for? If this is the code, can I write it down and enter it manually later?

…and WTF is up with the neighborhood carnival give away crap. They should have put the codes in the first shipments of the standard editions. Or since the Special editions are getting emailed codes as well, they should have made it where the specializations were just unlocked upon logging in on the 20th.

Yes, this is the spec code… So be careful when using it.

I accidentally redeemed it, I thought it was something else and they should’ve at least left a short description to let people know its the specialization code for halo 4.

This. They also should have chosen a subject for the email that doesn’t come off as just another Spam email.
