So I was playing the mission “Reclaimer” on Legendary, and I think I found a new easter-egg of which I couldn’t find info on with a couple of Google searches.
So, in rally point alpha, after you’ve just destroyed the second particle cannon thingy, and the Mammoth has been disabled by a covenant ship, you’re left to fight the covenant with gauss-warthogs. I was playing alone, and having used all the power weapons aboard the Mammoth, and the right rocketlaucher being destroyed, I found it hard to defeat the ghosts and wraiths when no one was driving my warthogs.
So I climbed on top of the hill in the middle of the area, and tried to shoot the ghosts down from there. All of a sudden, a random spartan runs through the battlefield, climbs on the hill, uses his jetpack to hop on the highest point, and then uses his jetpack to jump towards the covenant ship, and disappears! :o
Inspired by this I tried to do the same, to jump to the ship (because as far as I understood it, that’s what he did) but I couldn’t do it, even after several attempts. I did, however, notice that there were a couple of destroyable objects on top of the ship, that turned my sight red, and I shot them. Then, frustrated, and having noticed that it was late, I quit the game.
