See all the glowing stuff shimmering on it. I think it’s sheilds with a orange tint like the banshee sheilds are blue but are orange. I think they made this to cover up the Pheaton belly which its weak spot.

Indeed, similar to expert banshee pilots who use the ultra banshee (the ultra banshee heals itself over time, assuming it has taken less than 50% damage)
343 should have this phaeton be the spiritual successor to the falcon, with turrets manned by other Spartans in replacements for the missile launchers. With increased armor of course.

I just imagined a three man Phaeton, then it bursts to the side and the two guys manning turrets get splattered by the phaeton. Good idea.

They are adding the wheelman armor mod. Fly high, you’ll be fine.
