I have had HUGE problems with the MCC in the beginning, not so much now all i have are little problems. I know others are not having the same luck as me and I honestly feel for you.
Please correct me if I’m wrong because I’m going completely off ignorant guesses to be honest.
Ok so the MCC was converted to work on the Xbone, and not emulated ( I am assuming here). Im sure there is a massive amount of net code that had to be changed to make it work on the Xbone’s Live which i believe is a totally different set of net code than the 360’s. i mean you cant even send a voice message from one to the other. Plus its never been on dedicated servers before. (you can argue, that its not even happening now really)
Halo 5 is different, it entirely built for Xbone’s hardware, and Xbone’s live code. so i think it will launch with minimal issues.
That being said i still agree that the MCC should have been beta tested BEFORE launch,and not essentially in beta form now.
i also just thought of a ( I think its pretty cool) gametype for Halo 5. it’s kind of based on infection. One person would start out as the Didact with like 200% shields, has a massive melee attack, and some other junk. when the player spawns as the Didact when he kills someone he has to compose them maybe a 3-5 second thing close to the body. once done that player would spawn as a Kinght and so on. I know it might be dumb but I would try it out
Halo, when its not working, is like a really -Yoink!- GF/BF which ever your preference, that is being a complete pain in the -Yoink!- , then it works and it like they come down the steps naked and you completely forget why your mad…

I wouldn’t be so sure on it working, I cant list one big mainstream title that has had a successful launch this year. It will continue to be this way until we teach them a lesson, you speak with your wallet so don’t preorder if you want it to work.

it definitely proved to be a more ambitious game than they thought, if it gets resolved, I will most likely be on H5. if they don’t, then there is little chance I support them as a developer any more

The fact that Halo 5 will have a beta is the first indication the launch of H5 will go much better than TMCC. It will still probably have a couple day 1 problems at launch, but it will be nowhere near TMCC. I don’t think any mp game has launched this rough in 10+ years.
