I really liked having personal loadouts, the weapons in multiplayer seemed more fun. I also miss sending in ordinance from req points, that was a lot of fun both for gameplay and visually. i would go back, but I already said previously that they took out ordinance drops out of slayer so I have nothing to go back to.
Halo 5 doesn’t even feel like the same game. All the little personal things are gone that made Halo 4 feel like they spent time on it. You can go and say that it was unfair having unequal starts and that the maps were bad, I don’t care about any of that. Halo was about blowing people up and it looking cool, and nothing felt cooler than having your own AA, perks and weapons. Is was fast paced and lose, something easy to play and inviting to new players.
i understand a lot of you think it’s too much like call of duty, but I don’t see it. I’ve played call of duty, it’s fun but it gets boring because it’s the same game every time. Halo 4 was innovative to adapt some of the mechanics with its own twist and more believable system I.E. infinity drop pods.
Casual Halo feels closer to home than competitive equal starts MLG Halo, I’d go back to Halo reach but that hasn’t aged well.

EDIT: 24 hours later and I’m over here spilling my guts about this game and all I keep getting is “what age are you, when did you start playing Halo, you are mentally unstable, you are dragging down this community, go play BattleDuty MadernField” and so on. If the game is still “dead” as you call it the no amount of me saying I liked it better than 5 will change that, despite all this I’m still being treated poorly by a lot of the people here just for defending what I liked even though they already took it out of both the 360 and MCC versions. I can’t go back or I would have, I’m just saying what I liked, I’m not trying to take away what you like now.
I have to agree with you on some points, i feel like the req weapons should be implemented into Arena, I get so tired of using the exact same carbon-copy guns in arena, while warzone has over 30 variations of each weapon.

I think everybody has their personal favorite Halo but to me Halo 5 is a step in the right direction but it still has many flaws which should be fixed and a micro transactions system that I dont like and not many playlists but that’s just me.
I like some of the things Halo 5 did, like infinite sprint, thrusters, ground pound, and all the warzone weapons, but I miss those things in Halo 4. It would be different if they had t removed them from Halo 4 right before the MCC came out.

A good campaign
Campaign scoring
The ability to play custom games and forge without internet connection A lot of playlists
An easy to use and enjoyable UI

Some of the best maps in halo, not recycled lazy maps like halo 5
No micro transactions
Only things halo 5 beat halo 4 in are:

And sound track- halo 5 has beautiful music/voice acting ect
In conclusion halo 5 was released half baked, missing features and had stupid changes
Halo 4 was an incredibly complete well rounded and enjoyable game
Halo 5 has better gameplay, but its not all about gameplay.

Gameplay wise, Halo 4 is easily the worst. However, that doesn’t mean Halo 4 did some things objectively better than Halo 5 is presently doing. The list in the comment above is a great place to start.

It’s not just that H5 has better gameplay. It’s that H4’s gameplay was HORRENDOUS.

(you cant play for the unlocks specifically you need to play for a pack that has a chance to contain something) You are literally playing for chances.

We also had proper vehicle physics in halo 4 unlike in halo 5 where your ghost goes flying after splattering 1 guy or you getting splattered from a tank that you barely touched.

Part of what set Halo apart was it was actually difficult to get into compared to other games at the time. Fast paced? Then why is everyone constantly moaning about how “slow” Halo 3 is?
I think Halo Reach and Halo 4 have left you with a completely skewed view of what Halo actually is.
