I think armour cores are a problem.

Ske7ch confirmed on twitter (https://twitter.com/ske7ch/status/1420532588851040258) that armour associated with specific cores are locked to those cores and can’t be mixed and matched, at least for now. I think this is a huge problem for customization, especially for me. Having armours locked behind cores completely hinders customization and essentially throws away all the talked about improvements on the disaster that was Halo 5’s customization. For example my favourite helm is CQB. I’ve been waiting for this helmet to return to Halo at launch since Halo Reach and to see it back has made me really happy…but I’m locked to the reach core. I really, really like the new Mark VII armour that we’ve seen in Halo Infinite so far but I can’t use the CQB helmet with that armour.
I really don’t see a point in restricting that. Changing colours was one thing but this seems to be a bit far in terms of restricting freedom of expression. I really, really hope this changes before launch and not something that is addressed post launch and is really ignored. Customization is one of the key pillars of Halo, it always has been, and seeing this really disappoints me and I’ll assume a lot of other players too.

Yeah, hopefully that’ll be unlocked going forward!
