I think a speed of 105 percent would be best.

The player movement speed in the update is 110 percent. The settings allow changes in 10ths, so I’m wondering if a speed of 105 would have been best.

I’ve been enjoying the new speed since the update and I like it better than the normal speed, but at times I feel like it is too fast.

How do you like the new movement speed, and do you think 343 should make it to where the speeds can be changed in 5ths for finer tuning?

110 is fine. You wouldn’t even notice a 5% change.

Just going to throw it out there. They should keep the 110% settings and make sprint an ordinance. You can cover maps far too quickly. I played yesterday for two hours refusing to use sprint, I found my game play far more enjoyable, unfortunately the only draw back, for me, was that I had to forget about power weapons as everybody else would sprint to them first.

Can we change movement speed? like a custom option? If not I don’t really know what you mean by your question since I’m certain that 343 can change movement speed by any amount.

I’ve only played a few games since the update but I was enjoying the 110%, its nice to have the need to sprint reduced. I imagine if they had only changed it by 5% the difference would be pretty negligible.

To the above poster, I don’t think a 10% increase in base speed is adequate grounds for changing sprint. If it took 30 seconds to walk across a map before, it now takes 27 seconds. Removing sprint would see a massive slow down in the pace of games.

I am enjoying the current speed rate.

JUST GET RID OF INSTANT RESPAWN AND LESSEN THE SHIELD RECHARGE RATE. Please.

You guys do realize if you’d have been playing Team Throwdown instead of Infinity Slayer, whatever it is you play. You’d already be used to 110% speed. Because ever since Throwdown has come out it’s been 110% speed.

My own personal belief is that sprint causes more problems than it’s worth, especially on smaller maps. I’d would like at least one playlist without it, as so I wouldn’t have to put up with the trouble it causes. It would slow the game down considerably, but with the faster kill times it wouldn’t matter so much. Sprint promotes the not so skilled players to run around like headless chickens. A game without sprint makes it more technical with strategies coming into play more often.

Because of the current kill times we need an increase in shield recharge rate.

Part of why the shield recharge rate is so slow is because of sprint. With a 10% increase in movement speed, running away and recharging health is going to be an even bigger problem.

Sprint is the root of all evil, and my number 1 complaint.

I say:

  1. 120% movement speed.

  2. Eliminate sprint and insta-spawn.

  3. 6.5 seconds from no shields to fully recharged shields (5.5 with the shielding perk).

Well the reason it seems too fast is because you can still get around faster with sprint. Since we have this new increase in base speed, sprint is kinda redundant now, especially since sprint forces you to lower your weapon whereas walking with faster movement does not. Having the option to toggle sprint off would make the new settings near-perfect.

And what if people don’t want to play Team Throwdown? The playlist is far from being for everybody.

The speed boost makes it more apparent that sprint needs to go. Instant respawn, higher movement speed (it actually isn’t that high - Halo 4 was just slow ot force sprint), and slow shield recharge are an awful combination.

Look at Shutout: the map has been built fairly well, actually. Sightlines are well preserved, as are jumps. Sprint, however, makes the map a mess.

I had more fun with the default speed. (I’m still maintaining my skill and k/d, its just less entertaining with the base-speed increase.)

I would also like to keep sprint. (I have been wanting it ever since Halo CE.)

These are just my personal preferences, so feel free to disagree.

110% is perfect dunno what yall are smoking. i would like some of that though

That’s an interesting idea.

You guys don’t even notice the difference. You must just be blaming the speed buff because you don’t know what else to blame your problems on. I played throwdown quite a few times and NEVER noticed any change of speed ever.

They could have slipped this part under the radar and absolutely no one would have complained about it because you just can’t tell the difference.

I can’t even tell if sprint has been affected by this but I’d say it isn’t affected by it.
