Shows up in Halo 5, I’m not kidding, I will actually refuse to buy it.
It’s an indication of how screwed up the storyline entirely has got to be.
If 343 thinks that her loving attraction and flirtation with MC is ANYWHERE near “Seems okay” and less than five hundred -Yoinking!- miles away from “That’s a good idea” I will not touch Halo 5, especially after Halo of duty 4.
She is a horrific character, and should be banned, and killed off in the very first second of the prologue, infected by a stray flood that a god -Yoink!- “egghead” accidentally tosses on her, gets rammed by a pelican, AND NO ONE NOTICES. Plotholes be -Yoink!-, as long as she’s dead.
Best prologue ever.

If you weren’t joking, then what kind of a stupid excuse for writing a -Yoink- character is that you just came up with?
How about write a good character in the first place?

I’m hoping that when Chief gets back with Blue Team that they find out what she did to Halsey and they go raid the Infinity just to kick her arrogant -Yoink-, maybe take out all of the Spartan-IV’s while they’re at it too.
Or they could better develop the character with better writing, as seen in the Halo: Escalation comic series. However, I know it is easier to whine and be outraged, so I doubt you’ll really consider that.

It’s hard to turn face on somebody you don’t like. I found her incredibly annoying during the Spartan Ops missions.

I didn’t like her either, however with the right writers her character got better. We’ll have to see if that trend continues in the games, but the original poster threatening to boycott the game and having a meltdown over the mere idea of her presence in Halo 5 is an overreaction.
Well the only real reason i dislike her is because she tried to kill Halsey. Buuuut she isn’t really that bad of a character and as for her and MC being together, that would be an interesting thing but not during the story of the games, maybe if it’s like mentioned at the end of the trilogy or something? On a side note: i wish Johnson didn’t have to die… Halo just isn’t the same without him…

well, yes, i’m a fan of Palmer. hate for me that. but i sincerely hope that she returns & gets even even more on-screen time & some character development.

To say one wouldn’t buy a game because of a SINGLE character makes me laugh. I’m sorry, but in no way ever have I witnessed someone drop a franchise they apparently love, just because they dislike a character.
If you have read Escalations, which by your attitude, I can only assume you haven’t, you would know that her character was mainly bad due to the writing presented. In Escalations, she gets an overhaul of development and it is fantastic.

That all sounds like hate-speak, and if you don’t allow a character to develop, why have any at all? You might as well hate Chief because he is different, too.
You should prepare yourself for not buying Halo 5 if you’re going to refuse it for the possibility of Sarah Palmer making a single appearance in the campaign.
Palmer’s going to play a massive role in Halo 5. Deal with it.
Can we stop with the Palmer John romance thing. The augmentations that John recieved lowered his -Yoink!- drive and besides if he were to be in a relationship with a Spartan it would most likely be with a Spartan II not an IV.
OP you are funny. Refusing to buy a game because of one side-character that you didn’t like and has started to look better in the comics? (I have not read them, but that’s what I have heard a lot).
If it is that big deal to you, don’t buy H5. I really don’t care.
She could very well turn out to be an excellent character later. Right, sorry, you don’t care if she does, because you will hate her no matter what, I guess.
Palmer is a terrible character in Halo 4, especially worse in Spartan Ops. Now, she hasn’t been in the game long enough to develop her, but what dialogue and character motivations that have been written for her so far are pretty bad. Where Bungie did well (outside of Reach) was not creating bad characters. Because they had to create the beginning and the end of Noble Team in Reach, most of the characters had to be stereotypical and shallow.
Of course, it could turn out that Palmer develops just as well as Johnny Blaze, or any Nicolas Cage character. In which she should be uncermoniously executed.

I Don’t think you have learned much about Palmer outside of halo 4. Palmer is not a bad character. How they used her in 4 was. They re used the same dialogue over and over in Spops (and she wasn’t the only one effected by it) and she wasn’t fleshed out as a character. Which makes her look bad and i guess that’s why you only saw skin deep.
If you played spartan assault or read the most recent books about halo you can see her being fleshed out and not just that annoying person. She’s going to be in halo 5. IMO 343 has done a better job of story telling (game wise) then bungie did.
