I swear, Reach better have much faster gameplay or I am Done

EACH Halo since Halo 1 has gotten slower and slower. Players told Bungie to speed up the game afetr they slowed it down and instead they make them SLOWER with each entry with a new Halo. Halo 4 MUST return to the speed it used to have.

At this point with Reach, it is almost laughable. You move at the speed of a turtle.

Bungie kept doing this to attract casuals, but NOBODY WANTED SLOWER GAMEPLAY. Casuals want fast gameplay. Hardcore players want FAST gameplay. Faster gameplay improves the skill gap dramatically. Halo 1 and 2 took WAY more SKill than Reach. Nobody wanted this slow as sh** gameplay, and THAT is why Reach is number 7 on XBL.

At this point, Halo is a joke to its former self. Kill times are ridiculously long, movement is slow as Yoink!, jump height is 6 inches. And to top it off, they add random -Yoink- bloom which delays kill EVEN MORE, and Armor lock, which gives 5 seconds to kill someone who already should be dead.

What the hell were you thinking Bungie?

Am I a freaking spartan or a child?!

Speed up the whole game for Halo 4. Much faster kill times, Halo 1/2 speed, and bigger jump height.

Do this, and Halo will feel like Halo again, and players will flock back. I have faith in you 343i.

I meant Halo 4* in the title.

Let the DEVELOPERS do their job. Constructive criticism is welcome but I’m very sure that every developmental team around knows what their doing. Remember, most of them create something with what they want as well in mind, not just the player. Just because they create it and it’s for you, doesn’t give you full creative control.

I say it a lot, populations dwindle and pop back up. When a game FULLY dies off, then you can consider it a failure. Reach is liked by just as many as it’s disliked. Like EVERY other game.

You have faith in them? Is that why you’re telling them what to do?

The only game that slowed down in terms of multiplayer was Reach. Each Halo has gotten faster since CE. The reason Reach was slowed down was because people wanted a return to CE’s gameplay.

> The only game that slowed down in terms of multiplayer was Reach. Each Halo has gotten faster since CE. The reason Reach was slowed down was because people wanted a return to CE’s gameplay.

Umm… Have you ever played the multiplayer of CE? With the three shot kill pistol, powerful sandbox, fast movement speed, good map design, and wonderful gameplay flow, it’s the fastest Halo to date. And when Halo 2 started making kill times slower, continuing with Halo 3 making them even more slower and lowering movement speed plus making the gameplay slower in every other possible way, the game became more and more slower every year.

Agreed. I don’t know why they kept making the games slower.

HCE > H2 > H3 > Reach is a commonly held opinion for a reason. And not the egotistical, pigheaded reasons bungie believes either.

Chiron TL-34 was good map design?
I’ll have what he’s having!

lolwut

Did you try and make the most nonsensical post you possibly could? Im considering that a troll post, it can’t be serious.

Sorry, I thought you meant purely movement speed.

I don’t see how that DIDN’T make sense to you. It might not be true but it made sense. He said every game has gotten faster until Reach b/c Reach “was supposed to go back to CE gameplay”. So by his logistics - Halo2 faster than Halo CE, Halo 3 faster than Halo 2, Halo Reach back to Halo CE.

Take time to consider something before you label it a troll post. Maybe an actual “can you explain that” instead of the immature “lolwut?! TROLL!!!” approach.

People need to quit assuming.

Please try to be more civilized, the swearing and attitude won’t help you.

Let’s start with the fast gameplay,“EACH Halo since Halo 1 has gotten slower and slower.” For the sake of arguement, You and many other hypocrites still play the game even if it gets slower.

Rushing doesn’t exist anymore, i’ll give you that, because of casuals.
But then again casuals are the ones who die and give us sweet montage clips.

In addition, Bungie wanted to “Shake things up a bit”.
You’re not the only one who plays this game, so don’t ignore all the other players.

To this extent, “bloom which delays kill EVEN MORE, and Armor lock, which gives 5 seconds to kill someone who already should be dead.”
If you can’t kill the person because they use their abilities to their advantage, then you really can’t grasp the concept of a higher skilled person/“Smart”.

Bungie creates games that are unique and fun, I personally wouldn’t buy a game that copies itself over and over again just like the COD series.

Just for the record, nobody that likes Halo would care about population nor the spot on XBL.

Excluding Chiron TL-34. Seriously, that was the only actually bad map in the game.

Listen that was bungie. They didn’t have the passion after 7 years as 343i does apparantly.

It’s a fact that Halo has gotten slower both in running speed and in kill times. The population grew game by game but peaked at Halo 3. I suppose if we ignore every other factor, no matter how heavily they contribute to the statistics, we could say that Halo 3 had the right balance. Halo Reach is too slow. The majority may feel that Halo 3 was the right speed. Halo CE and 2 were a little intimidating to more casual players, especially with the button glitches and whatnot. You’d die before you knew where you were sometimes, which doesn’t appeal to the less competitive players, I expect.

Casuals aren’t the ones who die in sweet montages, they’re MLG players. Anyone can kill enough guests and first lieutenants in social slayer if they play for long enough, it’s the overkill exterminations against players who know how to play that are good to watch.

You’re not the only one who plays this game, so don’t ignore the players. Don’t ignore the fact that Reach’s population is small and just keeps getting smaller. The people don’t like this game.

Bloom and armor abilities slow down the pace of the game, even if the more skilled player still wins (even if he does win less often). This may be one of the reasons why Reach has a smaller population.

Bungie does make good changes, and they have done good things to keep it interesting. Halo 2 introduced an absolute ton of new features and mechanics not even including the addition of matchmaking and online play, Halo 3 introduced a wealth of new weapons and vehicles, and equipment which was at least bearable. Halo Reach’s additions weren’t up to scratch, and that’s the problem. Nobody minds changes, what they dislike are bad changes, and that’s what Reach brought. I’m not saying they’ve all been perfect up until now, and that Reach is pure mud; Halo 3’s random spread was awful, the floaty physics and some of the equipment were terribly detrimental to the gameplay. Reach also added some good things - Reintroducing a single-shot rifle, adding the plasma and grenade launchers, the more advanced radar system and a more detailed forge mode.

People who like Halo partly like it for the community, for playing with their friends and just goofing around in forge/customs. It’s not fun when all of your friends who used to play Halo 2 and Halo 3 are now on CoD and BF3 because they don’t like Reach. Halo needs to be good enough that lots of people play it, so people can have fun with their friends instead of having to make new Halo Reach specific friends. This was never a problem until Reach.

It made no sense because all of it was completely false. Usually when someone says something so blatantly stupid and incorrect it was done to simply aggravate people.

I see where you stand.

But MLG playlist in Reach or any other Halo game isn’t MLG unless it’s in the tourny.
Why? You have casuals trying to get good or getting the MLG experience.
Here’s what i mean.
An MLG montage
I highly doubt everyone is MLG good within the games, or else you wouldn’t have all these multikills.

[I’m personally into Grifball, it’s fun yet competitive with teammates.** **So i apoligize for any ignorance, within any other playlist.]

With that said, i believe it’s the updates that killed everything.
My stats for slayer
I used to be a decent player, but you know.

All who play still love the game or like to be hypocrites.
Then we have those “Halo Fans” who have agreed to make Reach into H3/H1.
Which is morally wrong, it’s like a smack to bungie’s face.

We’ll only have to wait.
(Sighs)
