It’s almost that time of year again, July 7. The ten year anniversary of the original Bungie Day, in fact. While I know 343 isn’t Bungie, I can’t help but wonder if there will be anything 7/7 related tomorrow, perhaps a pack? Bungie Day became basically Halo Day, so I’m just curious, has 343 done anything on 7/7 in the last few years? I’ve always been on vacation this time of year and never noticed…

Can’t remember. Someone did note that the date keeps showing up (it was on the Scorpion in Halo CE, its Jorge’s birthday, a couple important events happened).

March 5 seems to show up a lot. I think they chose it to be Jorge’s birthday for some other reason. Its in the Reach data files on Noble.

It’s the same day as the birthday of Bungie’s Halo art director, Marcus Lehto, so maybe that has something to do with it.

During Halo 4, they gave away free Commando helmets to everyone playing on that day because it was 343 day. So I’m actually quite sure it is
