I support your idea

I think it would be a good idea. but the thing is it might be too much of a hassle for the game itself to have 2 engines like that. Im not an expert about game mechanics and stuff its just what I think.

Im sorry for this post. this meant to be a reply for a single forum. but im new to this site and it seems that i clicked the wrong thing. so if you see this than just ignore it.

The second engine is just graphics layer. All it’s doing is running on top of the original engine but for the most part, the original engine is doing all the physics, calculations and all that complicated programming stuff that’s over my own head.

Obviously it wasn’t too much of a hassle for 343 and Saber Interactive (not saying it was easy) if the project is already gone gold.

If I remember right, Halo CEA isn’t the first game to have a dual engines, one of those dual engine games is StarWars the Force Unleashed. It would be cook to see more games use dual engines.

You’re right, it’s not the first. It’s just that despite the power you get out of two engines, that double the bugs and what not if it’s not optimized properly. I loved the first Force Unleashed though.
