Please do not say “just play MCC”. I like the MCC for what it is but there is no arguing that the Halo 4 experience is H4-lite compared to the 360 version. Most people vote down H4 in MCC BTB, plus that and the ranked playlist are nothing but standard Slayer. The only way to play a matchmade game of Infinity Slayer is on 360. H4 deserves the same treatment as Reach and should be BWC on Xbox One with all DLC free. As far as I know they’re basically the same game at their core. I’ve been finding myself back playing H4 on my 360 more and more. Maybe I’m alone here but I think H4 is far superior to H5 in many aspects and it’s unfortunate that 343i has changed course and never looked back. A little love for the diehards would be cool. Infinity Slayer is still very fun and H4 maps are some of the best! Just wish I could actually retire the old 360.

I am with you on this one. The only reason I haven’t got rid of my Xbox 360 is for Halo 4 and Dragon Age 2(neither is BC). Halo 4 is my favorite BTB of any Halo. Halo MCC doesn’t feature Mark V or ODST armour either. Unfortunately, I don’t think 343 cares about Halo 4 anymore. I have dealt with it just like you and couldn’t agree more. So frustrating because MCC H4 at it’s core is beautiful and could simply be restructured to at least offer what the 360 variant does. I don’t understand why they had to just kill Infinity Slayer. Yes, lots of people complained about it. People complain about everything. I’m complaining right now! Either way they didn’t have to end IS because I know there are plenty of diehards that would like to play it in the best possible resolution/refresh on X1. Simply adding IS to the rotation so you get the option at least once in a while versus never. Add a H4 BTB playlist. If you can’t do that change the voting rotation to rarely have H3 and H4 in the same cycle. It is always H3. I don’t even bother waiting the sometimes 5-10 minutes to find a match because I know I’m likely to play CTF on Standoff for the 500th time. Sometimes I wonder if they purposely fragment games to break up communities and force them on to the next title. Then I get looked at like a crazy person but either 343i and MSFT are drunk and need to go home or this is on purpose. You can make the same argument for as to why Reach and H4 DLC are still FULL PRICE. Haha it’s seriously laughable. Such a shame because these games are really fun. People like us are still supporting the franchise, playing the newest title, but if we want to go back and play older favorites it’s a mess. I honestly hope they are not going to try and push another disc on us with H3A and that they instead would patch and completely overhaul the MCC to incorporate the H3 experience and as well as devote the much needed attention to the failed state that is MCC. There’s that crazy talk again. If there were fans in charge, things would probably make a lot more sense but unforunately we’re at the mercy of dollars and cents people.
Also, It very much bothers me to see every other person playing H4 on MCC rocking Vanguard armor. I had to grind for that. Half the reason I play on 360 lol
