I still have access to the Halo 5 Free Play Days?

So I know Halo 5 free play days was supposed to end yesterday after being extended a day for Gold members. However I’m still able to access and play my copy of Halo 5 without using a disk. It’s worth pointing out that I already owned and had a copy of Halo 5 installed prior to the free play period, but since I owned the physical copy I still needed the disk. As of right now I am still able to launch and play Halo 5 without the disk inserted into my Xbox. If I go to the store page for Halo 5 there’s still an available option to purchase the game.

I’m obviously not complaining, but I want to know if my “digital copy” is indeed here to stay, or if this is just a glitch that will eventually go away. If it is a glitch, then I’d greatly prefer to buy a digital copy during the Summer Sale.

i’ve noticed this too, it’s best to just let it happen haha

Same. I still have it…I did tell xbox support but not sure how much it could help. For me just worry its a larger issue in the long run.

It’s 343i/Xbox store’s job to make sure trial licenses expire when they are supposed to. If your trial license is still going, great! As long as you didn’t somehow steal a permanent license, it’s not your fault that you can still play. Maybe they are just slow to review all the trial licenses. I suppose, if you’re really worried, you can delete the game off your Xbox; but as long as you weren’t forced to click “I agree” on some statement that said “you will delete the trial game at the end of the free-to-play period”, it’s not your responsibility.

Yeah I’m wondering if the trial license is supposed to reset on Tuesdays with each weekly marketplace reset, but because they extended it by a day it accidentally got extended a week instead.

I’m just curious because I’d rather buy a digital copy while it’s on sale rather than miss the opportunity,

I would buy it, if you were going to buy it anyway. The free trial will expire sooner or later.
