As in lack of game modes for custom games, forge delayed, and no splitscreen. Someone please explain this. Why was forge not at launch? Why is splitscreen an impossibility? And why is this fov so horrid?! Is it because of maintaining good graphics? I could care less about graphics! This game could’ve been in 4k for all I care. With a fov this zoomed in, it’ll still look bad! I don’t get it.

You say that as if I shouldn’t be surprised that it’s online only. It’s halo. It’s as surprising as call of duty going off line only.

Games are made much differently now than they were a decade ago. Online only games are be coming the norm.
It’s because all multiplayer modes run on dedicated servers. You can’t play offline because the game isn’t coded to let you. As for split screen, that horse has been beaten to a barely recognisable paste at this point, but it boils down to the hardware not being strong enough to run two screens at 60fps.

Why couldn’t they just dumb the graphics down a bit? Wouldn’t that have helped?
Split screen just does not work with the rendering capabilities for these new Halo games. I first noticed it on a few Halo 4 maps, where my buddy and I just could not play split screen because it would just lag like crazy.
