I still don't believe what 343 said

At this point theres really no use in lingering to complain, myself and many others have said everything we need to. Their choices were by their hands, however they precieved it would go, obviously it didn’t go.

It doesnt matter what is said, what matters is the action taken to fix it.

The issue is, this is exactly the situation 343 should have avoided because Halo 4 and 5 both suffered from this exact situation.

“The games eventually got better” yeah…but by then, most people moved on.

This entire aspect of games as a service is overwhelmingly more destructive to gaming than beneficial.

If businesses believe that following the mobile model is a good idea, well thats their choice, the harsh reality is, the money may come, but the falloff is far greater than they manage, more of these mobile games come and go only to die before you or I even knew they existed, applying that model to the console or major games market, yeah you can say it nets them money, but look how quickly its falling apart.

IPs fallen into this will eventually burn away trust, people wont give companies even a chance, by name alone. Hell remember EA and Anthem? I remember how hyped everyone was, they said it would rival destiny. Yet for all its reasons, I told my friends these exact words.

“I won’t play, why? Because its EA, they are incompetent and will screw it up, its basically their MO.”

They said, that wasn;t fair to bioware, it was not fair to judge it.

Oh, it doesnt matter what they said, because EA was stll EA and proved me and several others right. There are people who will outright now even give EA, Activision/Blizzard, Ubisoft, etc any measure of a chance again because they continue to prove themselves, unable to do the most basic of junk.

And we are heading for a boiling point. People are more aware of this, junk, this type of speak, and its a case where they need to choose their actions carefully.

EA is in such a mess, DICE has more or less hit a point of no return after BF2042, they are going to lose their license to star wars games soon after the fallout from SWBF2 back then, and even their cash cow sports games licenses are under review.

Its all fun until the gravy train stops.

And whats more, the type of speak, doesnt even hold water, its like dude, I can look at smaller companies here in the States putting out games far better than the quality these larger older ones can and the fact they dont have the marketing departments to do this, they have to put in that extra effort. Hell…Nintendo can still do junk right too, and if a game like smash bros utimate had to be made with such an astronomical budget and go through untold legal department hoops just to get various characters from other companies (including microsoft here, with the minecraft characters and Banjo-kazooie from rare) I dont want to see excuses if they can put out a full game and their only monetziation was the DLC characters and the option for themed costumes on the mii fighters.

I don’t see them making excuses when they can still succeed and have an astronomical budget.

Maybe people have just seen this enough and with fire catching in other companies, this is just a boiling point.

But hey, 343 taking action ASAP, I can give them that, but there are things they really have to do.

I mean you want a case of total disaster and sheer arrogance?

Look up the World of Warcraft community council. That is a case of rock bottom attitude set for self sabotage.

Broski, you come in here to a civil discussion on what’s making this game suck and start pitching a fit because you’re the only one willing to keep lapping at that corporate boot. Open your eyes and see the truth. “Betas” that release within a month or two don’t provide any significant change; these are effectively game demos and server load tests. We are getting a paltry four MP playlists tomorrow, customs is a broken mess, theater is even worse, you can’t explore Zeta Halo with a friend until May 2022 at the earliest, and no one can make custom maps until AUGUST 2022! Cap it all off with a greedy monetization system we’ve all warned you would come the day they announced colors were being revoked in favor of Destiny Shaders. Not even the campaign can save this game’s launch since there’s gonna be a lot of new 1 month games pass subscriptions tomorrow. This may be the best gameplay, gunplay, sandbox, and art style Number Company has made yet, but that doesn’t excuse the sorry state of the game at launch.

You know for someone who says they’re tired of complaining you sure are doing a lot of it. Alls I’m saying and as I have been saying but you’re just too dense to understand. What we have today is what we’re getting tomorrow. The fairy godmother isn’t gonna show up flick her wand and give us free armor, playlist or a better battlepass system.

All they need to do is say, we know we made a mistake and we’re going to fix it. Pretending this happened by accident and that the game code is so convoluted they can’t do something as simple as add a game mode to the UI (even though they’ve already demonstrated that they can) without breaking the whole game is just destroying trust. He even explicitly says as a free to play game they have gone for a business model of monetised customisation. They need to own up to their mistakes and stop pretending to be incompetent, it’s so much worse.

Lmao, I’m not reading that wall of text, but where is the civil discussion being broken here? Pointing out your constant complaining with no real suggestions to fix it… totally me lapping the corporate boot. Rofl, I’m going to continue to play the game, since it’s fun.

I’m complaining about you complaining, not about all of the little things that a billion dollar corporation backed developer team needs to change to make ME happy, even when I won’t pay for anything. Ah, I love it.

Keep coping then bud

Angryjoe had a recent video on this.

But his words pretty much summed it up.

Feigning ignorance isn’t better, it just makes it worse and makes everyone question you more.

Some people are ignorant and just don’t know better.

Those who purposely orchestrate flawed actions, and try to play innocent, thats worse.

I’d rather pay £60 for a proper customisation suite on top of a fully fledged multiplayer than thousands on transactions that drip feed restrictive items. The problem isn’t paying, I’m more than happy to pay, the problem is value, and in its current state there is almost none. I can’t look how I want or play how I want, and there is no excuse.

I mean if you can’t read a handful of sentences then that’s your issue bub. Not to mention there’s a plethora of community solutions to most of the monetization and matchmaking issues, notably armor coatings, but we’ve already established your attention span doesn’t go beyond 120 characters.

Nevertheless, go ahead, plug your ears and cry that people don’t share your view on this game. The world needs more useful idiots don’t they?

Don’t expect any change for at least three months. By that time no one will be playing this disaster and it won’t be the change people want.

As much as I’ve liked birching about the game I think that’s a little harsh. At the end of the day the core gameplay, minus some sensitivity settings I still can’t get right, is so smooth. It just sucks how a lot of the stuff is marred by Microsoft’s meddling with MTX’s

Sorry man I gotta disagree. 343 is directly responsible for the mcc updates which made the game actually playable. It took them over five years to start doing something about it. I don’t see that timeline changing much with this game. Even if it is a month after launch that they start pushing meaningful updates out that is way too late and probably over half of new players dropping the game.

Never played fortnite or even cared about it and if I remember correctly fortnite’s actual beta wasn’t even the Battle Royale BS we got now it was a fortification game where you fought against waves of zombies and fortified the area but you probably don’t remember that right
