Honestly looking at the challenge system it’s hard to believe 343 didn’t do it on purpose. Ske7ch and 343 can make as many posts as they want saying it wasn’t intentional but looking at it you have
-challenges limited by game mode with no playlists
-randomized weapon spawn
-previously hard challenges to complete
They can say it all they want but there was no way they didn’t mean it. They want you to spend real money on challenge swaps.

Randomized weapon spawn only happens in social If i recall, correct me If I’m wrong. also there are random vehicle spawns too. though this still does not mean it is a good thing.
We shouldn’t have to wait though. I don’t know when we all accepted games being launched half finished. If this was a game that was made in 2 years I could see that but this took 6 years to make we should have a better product than this.

Random weapon spawn is really annoying when one team gets the Shock Rifle on their side and my team gets the Stalker Rifle.
I think many people were willing to put up with some issues because “Beta” but now that’s not so much the case.
I don’t play ranked because I don’t like the BR starts and the no radar(which is why i don’t like SWAT) and I’m not really a competitive person… so yeah
It’s not even that. On certain maps in other games asymmetrical spawning was a thing and that’s fine. What gets my goose is that I’ll have a challenge to get needler kills. I’ll go to where it spawned last time and a sentinel beam will be there. So now I have to play a whole match not wanting to really do anything and I can’t complete my challenge.

Yeah but we know “betas” aren’t what they use to be. This is just a playable trailer and the game is gonna launch like this tomorrow.
Yes that is creating a huge problem of people not doing objectives or playing the game at all because challenges are the ONLy thing that allow you to progress though the ranks…
Is it completely random? I thought it changed depending on the gamemode.
Well you can’t find a treasure without a bit of work… I think people were willing to give this a try and it was free so… I can’t really blame them for trying, though 343 claiming what is the equivlent of “HATE SPEECH” about feedback, at least as far as I am able to see from my side as a consumer has really not helped…

it’s random based on two weapons I think like for example I think the needler can be replaced with the sential beam the BR with the commando the skewer with the sniper/ SPnker there’s a limited selection but it’s still random.
I can only hope 343 actually changes and brings players back to the front instead of Money, it doesn’t appear that way from my end ,but I’m willing to give them a chance.
I’m gonna give them a little longer too. But if there isn’t meaningful change or at least a roadmap of it soon I’m dipping. Which I don’t want to either. I still remember being 11 and getting ODST and my Xbox for Christmas and I’ve met some of my closest friends playing halo but it’s just a shame.

I’m level 30 on the battle pass and I have not spent a dime! I can quite imagine I’ll finish the battle pass without buying or spending. So you could look at it as they’ve slowed the progression so you don’t complete the battle pass way before the season ends.
I doubt the above is true though.
