DMR is super UP now! Why can’t I cross map! I’m getting decimated by the stupid noob spamming Carbine users, and the LR campers! My Boltshot can’t do anything!!! The BR is so OP now!!! Nerf it 343 u made the DMR so UP!

The DMR will still be one of the best weapons in the game for sure, it just won’t be able to destroy players cross-map like it does now. I can’t wait to see someone actually say the DMR is UP after June 3rd.

I was thinking this myself watching the live twitch weapons vid. Makes no sense to me why people who complain about the DMR causing people to not move on the map and camp they would increase the damage on the LR and BR. Now no one will move and waypoint will be filled with “OMG the LR is so OP”. Personally I wish they had dropped the damage on the DMR and either added bloom or reduced the RRR like they done.
Balancing in a Player vs Player game is often a thankless job.
As others have said though, the real problem with the precision weapons is all the aim assist and bullet magnetism. The kill times of the other rifles are being brought back up to more their h2/3 numbers. The difference is everyone is a lot more accurate due to the game helping them.

Do you know if 343 changed how the LR performs while not zoomed in?
Or how about “Why did you try to make Halo competitive again 343i? We need to have the game play itself for us. Halo needs an easy button; why would you make things require skill.”

you have to take into account it’s much harder to use than some of the other guns, anyone can pick up a DMR and have an easy time, some can pick up a BR and do well, few can use the Carbine or LR effectively
And don’t forget they said the weapon tuning we saw wasn’t final

I don’t think they did, only changed the red reticle distance and upped the RoF when zoomed in.

I only use the LR on BTB maps and I’m telling you if the LR keeps its up’d ROF on its scope I’ll destroy people. The LR isn’t really any harder to use than the other guns.
I don’t think the scope should have been touched other than giving it the same RRR as the DMR, it already kills fast. It’s hip fire could use a boost though because it kills in 1.77 seconds.

Well technically if every weapon gets a buff then it will be just like giving the vehicles even less armor against every standard weapon except the DMR.
